What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

(Troy) #2981

Looking good!
Such a versatile KETO Must eat food

(Brennan) #2982

~7 hours later:

Salted (grass fed) butter pecan sandwiches! So amazing! My new favorite treat thanks @Bubra007

#2983

Careful they are addictive! I had to switch to bacon and butter sandwiches at sinner…I mean dinner :smiling_imp:

Also addictive.

(Brennan) #2984

Next I’m going to try pecans and cream cheese, with herbs and/or spices!

#2985

Parmesan and cheddar “chips”, bacon, turkey deli meat and green tea. Nothing fancy!

(Running from stupidity) #2986

Bacon and sous vide eggs with friends. Those friends being fried ham and Dutch Masadam cheese, along with Himalayan pink salt and hand-ground black and red house pepper mix.

 Not really queasy, per se, but just haven’t been sure about it since my Hernia acted up last week. Can’t really say what it is, but just hasn’t been the same? … But as Juice says, I’m more testing things I guess.

Doesn’t help that my Male pup, Kito, has had me up since 1:30am or so, and I have to be up at 5am for work. Not sure what’s bothering him, but am keeping an eye on him. Has happened a few times over the past week or so, but not sure what’s bothering him to be honest. Seems to be sleeping during the daytimes, and quite well at that, and then just staying up at night and not wanting to be alone? Something’s bothering him though.

This was the second batch of ghee that I tried to make into brown butter, as per last time.

It looked like the previous lot in the pot, but this is what we’ve ended up with.

Haven’t tried it yet, but it looks awful.

A few meals eaten away from home whilst traveling with the family.

Keto survival at Disneyland

Turkey leg (massive), green salad (removed carrots and croutons, it was a pre-made salad), mayo.

Roasted brussel sprouts from The Cheesecake Factory

Asked them to omit the maple butter glaze and instead just use butter. They were really delicious, so crispy. I had a ribeye as well (again, asked them to use butter instead of any glaze) with asparagus on the side but forgot to take a picture.

Seriously good northern China food

Kidneys

Lamb (yummy)

Mushrooms (with some veg)

Super spicy fish in hot oil (my mouth fell off after this)

(Allie) #2990

Steak and kimchi for breakfast.

I now know that I don’t like kimchi.

(Running from stupidity) #2991

#OHYEAH

(Running from stupidity) #2992

ME TOO!

:metal::metal::metal::metal::metal:

(Allie) #2993

It was one of those things I felt the need to try and now I have and I won’t feel the need anymore :joy:

(Running from stupidity) #2994

In that same vein, can I recommend green tea icecream?

(Running from stupidity) #2995

Roast pork! Brisket! Gravy! Cherry tomatoes! Green beans!

(I know I go on about how my old Canon 85/1.2 was my favourite lens ever (and it is, it’s an awesome lens) but this is the straight out of camera JPG (with watermark added as the only “post-production”) from my OLD Fuji X-T1 and the great 90/2 lens, using the “Classic Chrome” film emulation. For relatively old tech, it’s awesome (in decentish light).)

(Helene Haase) #2996

Definitely going to try this.

(Allie) #2997

I think I’ll pass… pistachio is appealing though.

(bulkbiker) #2998

Stick with the chicken livers…that was meant to be a reply to @Shortstuff …oops

(Sophie) #2999

@Bubra007 @Brennan you guys should try roasting pecans with butter/salt or better, with a variety of spices. I gift them to a chosen few every Christmas. Really good!

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #3000

If you figure it out, let me know! I could use the help.
