Doing over time today so lunch is scrambled eggs, bacon strips, chorizo and some keto toast with butter!
Butt ungly but crazy delicious. Chicken liver pate. Funny thing the tasting alone filled me up
Good thing it needs to chill first anyway, the big one is for the weekend the small three for freezing. Let’s see if they’ll actually make it in there this time
Fortunately there’s no rule that says you have to look at your food while eating it.
And once cooled you can present it quite well… Some chives and such. Make it a bit fancy.

Could you please share your recipe/method for making this, and what you eat it on?
I’m really struggling to figure out how to get liver in me. I try hiding it but find I’m then sort of avoiding eating whatever I hid it in. I can get gizzards down but the macros and nutrients for those aren’t quite as right as the liver.
Absolutely freezing day one? Is this normal?

If you are cold, be sure you are getting enough salt. Salt your food to where it tastes good. Don’t fall in to the old low salt beliefs. Also, get enough to eat in general. Eat until satisfied, not stuffed. And don’t be afraid of fat. Those zucchini noodles and asparagus can have butter or olive oil on them if they don’t already.
Fats will help keeping your energy high and keeping you warmer.
Protein can help with that, too! There have been studies showing that protein has a “thermogenic” effect: it increases your body temperature as you digest the protein. I personally have experienced (n=1) feeling colder during periods of fasting than when I’m feasting, and I attribute this at least partially to the fact that I will routinely down 1 lb or so of steak on feasting days.
I’ve been a long-time lurker over here on the food thread but have never posted anything myself. Time to change that! Here’s a simple breakfast of scrambled eggs and avocado to break my 5-day fast and ease back into eating. I’ve been playing with different spice blends in my eggs. Today I went with apple pie spice, which consists of three different kinds of cinnamon plus nutmeg, mace and cloves. Yum! (I love cinnamon.) Unorthodox but tasty.
