Me too! Once I feel great enough that I have no drive to try to feel even better, I will draw the line there. Feeling pretty good now — except for some GI issues. Oh, and hoping pain level continues to drop
The March of the Carnivores!
you’ll be ok Wendy as you work thru adaption.
we all had to do it and all have different situations that hit us but in the end, that one day on plan ya wake up and ALL IS better is so sweet! You will be fine and get thru it too but if you got specific issues, just ask and we can try to help! ZC info is out there, carnivores help each other!
OH and to all, if ya can post a few pics
we are loving our carnivore meal pics on this thread! I love seeing the plates people eat in their day!! Vic and a few others are super pros at putting in great pics. I am trying LOL as I can steal my hubby or kids phone to get a pic of my food.
stole kids phone and got pic of first meal of the day
doing that 1.38 lb NY Strip steak paired with 1 lb. of jumbo shrimp…just boil and eat with little butter on it.
I might–might if in the mood add a tad of OLD BAY seasoning into the shrimp while they boil…sometimes I want that taste will see when I make them LOL
2nd meal later after I eat this around 12-1 today? not sure, will play by ear on it.
Its chicken burgers, North sea shrimps and egg yolks raw as a dip sauce.
If you have doubts on what to eat in the morning…eat nothing, your not hungry yet
I like that. very true. when in doubt and waivering most times it means we just aren’t ‘that’ hungry enough yet. but newer carnivores have alot of choices ya know, what to eat, wow what to eat but longer term carnivores just know they are gonna eat XYC at this time.
the north sea shrimp are small. that is like what they sell here ‘called calabash shrimp’…while ‘calabash’ is the batter they fry it in named after like a town on the coast…the shrimp they use for this ‘calabash batter’ fry is always the very small ones. but yours seem very small in size----are you just buying a big old bag of them frozen or buying fresh? just wondering
We buy them directly from local fisherman and spend a lot of time on peeling the skins off.
Could buy them in the local supermarkets but I support my local fisherman.
Its like suporting your local farms for someone who lives 200y from the beach.
very cool and I so agree to support local for your area! Love that and SO fresh, you know the quality is very high on that harvest!
I’ve been buying eggs and pastured pork from a local farmer. The pastured eggs are comparable in price to grocery store pastured eggs, but the meat from the farm is wayyyy more expensive. I can’t afford them all the time. I buy their meat more as a special treat or if they are having a sale on something. I do get my bones, liver, and lard from them. I’m not a fan of grass fed/grass finished beef. It makes me itchy.

Today I have made some beefles. Instead of bacon for the womelettes, I used raw ground beef instead. Added a little salt, garlic and onion powders. They are not bad, but I think I like the ones with bacon a little better.
Hi I’m a week late to the march party but would like to join in. I’ve been experimenting with carnivore over the past year and have recently fallen off the keto wagon after some chicken livers I ate turned out to be contaminated with wheat grains and it triggered a bad coeliac reaction and I’ve been muching my way out of the sad inflammation with a lot of carrots, onions, and pineapple as comfort foods.
Going out of ketosis has set off my binge eating and depression big time so I’m keen to go back to the simplicity of carnivore.
Day 1 (again) - pork belly, steak and tallow, and chicken thighs.
Such a busy group this month. It’s nice.
I’m still working on getting some fresh food carnivore snacks. Today I was weak and ate pork rinds. I think I shall make some hard boiled eggs to have on hand. Those along with the beeffles should work.
Darn! I could have pulled out a beeffle instead of the pork rinds. Well, tomorrow is another day
You newbies are all doing great!
Edit: fixed the typos.
My kyboard is suffring from ating and typing.
I don’t think carnivore is good for my computr.
It’s gtting a thorough clan as soon as I finish this post.
NoFUN (No Food Until Noon) continus.
gg and fish basd omltt brakfast
rib y stak last night for dinnr
morning coff
gah!
First meal was bacon and I just threw a cowboy steak in the oven to possibly share with my husband … possibly cos right now im not hungry.
Edit I ate a few bites of steak …but I still wasn’t really hungry so told my husband
To take the leftovers for his lunch…and pulled out corned beef to thaw.
3 hour drive to the city. Best way to drive is unfed and uncaffeinated (unless needed).
eating and driving is illegal and dangerous. It is distracting and the potential blood sugar changes can cause drowsiness. Don’t eat and drive.
Dinner was sliced roast beef wrapped (200g) in smoked salmon (200g). 60g chicken liver pate. 50g double brie. Bubbly mineral water, high in magnesium salts.
you had me laughing cause many times I would eat ‘whatever something small’ and THEN think omg I shoulda ate… sometimes I do have to STOP and think in the kitchen ya know…seems weird, my kid will come in and say what are ya doing just standing there and said, thinking, what DO I want to really eat and WHAT do I have to choose from
she thinks I am nuts some days
and that’s how ya do it just bob and weave thru hungry and feed some scraps to the hubby! I do that too HAHA
sorry FB! but enjoy your drive singing Like a Virgin!
You are eating fine, roast beef with smoked same and pate…omy goodness you are doing very fine and chowing down great, but not while on the 'puter, could barely read that typing mess…too much ribeye grease on the fingers?
OK @Carnivoor, you doing a baby ketovore day? I see that slant eyed peaking mushroom monster in that cream sauce
You know mushrooms I can eat too. They don’t effect me at all. I can eat a ton of them but when I researched them I found out the bad side of ‘fungus’ ya know and decided to drop them but every now and then, if a mushroom is near me from my hubby’s plate, yea I grab one LOL
what is under that sauce tho…is that chicken pieces? can’t tell, just wondering.
---------------happy carnivore sunday!
I got a big beautiful ribeye for later.
I desire…have a hankering…for bacon! Might fry up 1/2 lb later and chow down with my steak.
then tonight probably some chicken that I sautee in chunks and might dip in some homemade alfredo sauce and add nice fresh parm cheese on it.
nothing great, usual food choices for me…WAIT, what do I mean nothing great? Who am I kidding here? I am eating like a friggin’ carnivore queen here!
omgosh I love my food!
feeling great
wishing for more warm up weather, crashed back to darn cold, blah, but not long being march we should warm up alot more fast now
just cruising thru on zc and doing well.
------------just a side note for new people. do not eat mushrooms
Vic is long time on plan. He walks ‘every now and then and not that much’ a ketovore menu. But he is thru adaption, he is healed more and has over 2 yrs on plan and knows himself. Knows what works and won’t work etc so he is that carnivore that has a ‘tad of play’ into ketovore when desired, and alot of us longer term carnivores can do this easily…but we put in that time ya know, we know what we can allow or will allow thru personal choices rarely…but…being strict 100% on plan eaters as new people must be, and older ones like me still hold tight, so don’t worry if you see dreaded plants and fungi sometimes on a plate LOL just sayin’ and it is cool when a carnivore knows themselves so well and their body they can walk a new path as they change a bit as they see fit! Just a public service announcement on that.
--------ok off to get moving. have to wash bed sheets and all that…boo…but if I don’t do it I don’t like hubby near my washer
