I had a false start on a fast today, which is fine. I just decided I wanted to eat. But when I went to stop my fasting timer I saw the 7.5 hours and thought pfft, just erase that. Which I find so cool. To me now 7.5 hours between meals isn’t worth counting. Amazing.

Similar here, Ruina. I actually don’t even think about my normal OMAD as fasting anymore. Just mark it down for tracking. But I see it more as simply my Daily Meal plan, and going pretty much 24 hrs. between meals just feels normal to me. … But still desire fasting through the weekdays, (Usually from Sunday night’s dinner to Friday) but trying not to do it each week & throwing an occasional OMAD/TMAD so as not to be too repetitive.
If I knew I was going to want dinner after work, I probably wouldn’t have bothered with lunch! I made myself eat it because I didn’t want to eat so little between fasts. So maybe setting myself up for a better fast this week.
@Ruina I do that quite often, eat and have no intention of eating again but being hungry about 8 hours later so just reset the timer.
Same here. I feel if it’s not a ‘full’ meal, it’s more akin to snacking than eating an actual meal. So though it feels more forced at times, I always make sure when I do eat, I eat enough to be a meal. … Easy enough to push future meals back more, as well as throwing in some more fasting.
Pulling the pin at 40 or so hours. Just did a 10km walk (to doctor and back so I can get bloodwork done) and I’m tired and annoyed with everything and I need some peanut butter and some chicken sausages with low-carb sweet chilli sauce
And possibly some sour cream as well
soooo… after “Failing at fasting” last week, I am back on the horse.
I just had to find out I have difficulties starting a fast on a random weekday… mondays are perfect for me. So here i am at 14h aiming for 72, possibly more.
I ditched the HCV for the time beeing because my acne and other symptoms are creeping back, I have some
coconut oil
at hand now for “emergenicies” instead.
Did my 48 successfully. I could have gone on longer, but 48 was good.
My November goal is to fast three days a week, not necessarily consecutively, and see where my blood sugar gets to.
I’m working on hr. 15 of what I hope is a 72 hr. fast. Did my feasting over the weekend and so far feeling terrific. Made up some ketoaide, I just do potatssium, mag. and Redmond salt. sip on it when my tummy growls at me. Otherwise, coffee/hwc and water, and salt for under the tongue. So I am well prepared.

Sigh…it is for me the same…especially after a 48 hours fast…even if I feast on a block of butter…my longest fast was 5 days and I believe I was nearly dying…it was the first time as a long fast but I hope that having trained my body on keto I would be more prepared this time to not get into miserable state…I am starting today the long fast…I am already 24 hours fast but it is ridiculously short…I will try my best to keep it and I am preparing hot water bottles to keep me warm…
I didnt go that well yesterday so I re-started
so I had a tub of tabbouleh and an avocado for dinner, that generally settles things.
couldn’t sleep - 4am and already 8h in ha
Dr Berg advice on Facebook is useful for me https://www.drberg.com/ketogenic-diet
Ahhh @Peter it happens… I’m struggling with this fast as well! I got into the kids
Halloween candy
first sweet cheat I’ve had and I’m paying for it. Lesson learned.
18 hours into 4th water fast. Hungry!?!? Trying some salt and trying to let it pass!
Goal - 5 days / 120 hours
That Halloween candy is a sweet talking temptress. I’ll be glad when the trick-o-treaters take it away. 2 more days.
It happens Peter, some are always easier than others. I’m half thinking I’ll fast tomorrow, but it’s cold here now so I may well change my mind in the morning.
Girl me too!! I usually love Halloween! Never been so ready for it to be over
