Yes, of course! I have a list of things that will get me to break a fast and my husband’s comments are just one of them (and honestly when I’m getting pale I’m usually pretty close on one of the others as well - just too tired or feeling off). This time since I’m honestly feeling totally fine, I was half-hoping to hear a contradiction from him, but so far not a peep.

So I’ll break it today around 6pm, so 46 hour’s. I’ve read with ADF to fast 42-48 hours and eat within a 4 hour window then start all over again

Thank you! I’m overall pretty pleased. Also kind of amazed. I have a few inches here and there that I wouldn’t mind seeing gone (upper thighs, are you listening?!) but I’m basically in maintenance. Yet 5+ days and counting of fasting with full workload and a LOT of workouts, some of them quite intense, and I’m feeling totally fine.
Just for long-term health I’m aiming for 3-5 day fasts every month but a 7-day fast twice a year, so if I can hold on until tomorrow night I will have started that practice
ok, I’m out at 135 hours! A few hours ago I got hungry and it didn’t pass, just became more persistent. It could be psychological - knowing that I was planning to break tomorrow? - and I’m sure I could push through, but I’m pretty happy with where I am. I have a fairly intense work event this afternoon and I don’t want the distraction of hunger all day. Also, it’s actually the first time I’ve gotten this while fasting. I often get little pangs but they’re gone almost as soon as I’ve recognized them as hunger, but this is different - kind of a deep hunger (though, honestly, not an omg-I-will-die-if-I-don’t-eat feeling).
Still counting this on the road to one of my 7-day fasts, and if I have to slowly build up to them, that’s fine! I can aim for 140 hours next time. Also, I had some fats during this fast (BPC, some cream) though less than usual, and next longer fast I can aim for a full 4 days of water fasting before introducing any fats. Also if I do that in 6 months, I will have another 5 shorter EFs under my belt, so I will have had that much more experience.
Sounds like a bad protocol for you with that schedule. This might not be the best time in your life to do 12/12, just do something that will work better. The timed eating folks think the earlier in the day you finish the better. You might want to go that route instead?
Congats, nice long fast. Remember there isn’t an award given out for longest fasters. Any time fasted is good.

I’ve been trying to think how I could fit 12/12 into my schedule but just can’t see it in practice, as much as I like the theory.
Experienced first-hand today how stress can have a negative effect on a fast. I’m only 18.5 hours in and today had been really tough because it’s been a really stressful work day. My stomach is growling non-stop! So annoying. Just got a [spoiler]coffee with HWC[/spoiler] to help me get through. And of course hanging out with you lovely folks helps too.
Yeah, thinking on it more last night, I think the only way I would be able to swing it would be to maybe try a 30 minute window, 7AM7:30AM and then 7PM7:30PM. … But you may be right, because one of the reasons I don’t like eating during the day is the lighter/emptier feeling I enjoy throughout the day. I was doing this many years before learning of this WOE/WOL. … And eating earlier may not work either, since I’m gone a minimum 11 hours a day, longer if things come up. And don’t get home until after 5PM. But we’ll see…

I’m 23 hours in on a 24 and have my feast in the oven. Just got home from a 23 mile bike ride.

I honestly don’t have time to sit and eat before work and already get up crazy early to get things done before getting to work at 8am. Generally I only eat at work and even if I ate as soon as I got there, that would mean not eating again until 8pm which wouldn’t be an issue hunger wise, but I’m in bed by 8pm each night and (after journaling and reading) asleep by 9pm so my whole evening routine would be messed up which would affect my sleep which would have a knock on effect throughout the day, week, month, etc…
soooo… the perishables from my feasting weekend are gone.
My body is screaming for a fast right now… I am having such hot flashes i had to roll up my jeans and get rid of my longsleeve…
it’s about 12°c outside and windy… that is sooo atypical…
I take it as a good sign I did something right during refeeding since I am usually always cold…

Same here, and though I get into work early each day, I usually start working as soon as I arrive. But think if I do end up trying the 7am/7pm for a few days, my biggest issue will be that I don’t like eating late in the evenings. Preferring to eat between 5 & 6pm. … Personally don’t like going to bed shortly after eating. Never sleep as well.
