No but seriously… this is my second fast and both times the day before my planned fast I’ve got a sore throat. So strange
Yeah, was kind-of thinking that too, but I presently only average about 6 hours of sleep a night as is, and then I would have to either pre-prepare something the night before for this, because I really don’t like waking the wife early or to have to cook myself, which would wake her as well and just wanting her to sleep in if possible. But yes, this gets me yelled at as well. I’m kidding, but kind-of not.
Yes, I still do get the ‘why didn’t you wake me?’, when she wakes up before I leave anyway. … Just trying to be nice, and I know I would love to sleep in one day, but it never happens. Even weekends, the pups have no problem waking me up. Whether 2AM or before 6AM like all other days. But it’s the very rare day for me to sleep in at all, or get beyond or near 8 hours.
But it is a thought, thanks. And, it would probably only be for a week Max anyway, since I’m really thinking it’s not going to be something for me anyhow. But I won’t know until I try it. And Susan was kind enough to share her thoughts and experiences with it, so I won’t mind doing the same. … Also not sure if just one week would really show true results? But I guess we’ll see.
But to be honest, OMAD is something I’ve done for years, and now with a valued Fasting I truly like, it’s kind of put me in the mindset, that I enjoy going long periods between meals and not sure 12 hrs. will suffice? Damn you Fasting!!!

Not too hungry at 13h… i want to make it to dinner to reach about 20h before feasting again… my brain really wants to eat though…

First off, my apologies for not blurring that blatant reference to food, much less non-keto not for anyone ever foods…I’ve edited it since just in case.
Dave, while I didn’t enjoy the experience and couldn’t do it long term, maybe it did shake up my body a bit? or had I not made terrible choices on Saturday the drop would have been more? We will never know. Having forced myself to eat when I wasn’t hungry has made me more aware the past few days when I AM really hungry. A benefit? I tend to find benefits in all things, so could be all in my head…lol
No joke. I really did it. Not planned. Weak moment. Not sorry. Moving forward I’ll put the full story on my accountability thread as a fasting thread probably isn’t the place for that narrative.
Timing is perfect this week for a 24-48 hr fast starting tomorrow. Grateful my body will just roll with this when I decide to launch! Here’s to being fat adapted!

I’m going to check in here even though most of my posts about my current fast have been on the Zornfast thread. I’m at 132 hours, which is my maximum EVER!
It’s been mostly water fasting, with two days of BPC in the mornings and bit of fast during the day. Lots more salt this time, which has definitely made a difference.
Feeling fine but definitely ready to stop the fast soon just for psychological reasons. I was planning to go to tomorrow night for a full 7 days but right now tmrw evening seems very far away.
One of my cues to stop of fast has been when my husband says I’m looking pale and I think I’m half hoping to hear that from him but he keeps saying stuff like “wow, I’m so impressed.”

Morning Beth! It’s crazy right? I felt great the last couple weeks, then Sunday after dinner I felt it coming back. It’s like my body is testing me. Still fasting, around 36 hours. Hope you feel better soon. Sip on some bone broth… lemon and thyme, or brown butter sage are my favorites😊
Are you still planning on alternate day? If so, after how many hours will you break your fast?
