We have a local bbq joint (smoked only, sauce on the side). When they ask me lean brisket or fatty brisket, I actually want to jump over the counter and kiss them! Plus… brace yourself…. all you can eat!!! Extra kisses or that.:yum:

I still never saw brisket… Oh well.
And we keep forgetting asking for the list with prices from the pig farm lady… We won’t get meat any time soon anyway as they are booked for a while… (If it’s not the term, you still understand and that’s the main thing now. I almost fall asleep and my English has its limits.)

We had some stupid city visit - Alvaro wanted to visit the lawyers but she wasn’t there, he wanted his 3rd vaccine but there was a long row (doesn’t matter, it will change soon), we found no proper stand mixer(?)… So we just checked out the fridges (I saw some almost perfect ones… with an easy access shelf in the freezer and a big space… over 2m tall, I can’t imagine how people can live without such things, we are only 2 persons and totally need that…)… We won’t buy one in the near future but the time gets nearer…
So we weren’t very successful but bought a few things. Almost no food as we have everything - except meat but we didn’t visit those shops. So I have no fresh meat in my freezer now but it’s fine. I got out the rabbit and I have some roast still. And chicken from my aunt and processed meat (Alvaro’s Mom made chicken too). But we visit the village shops tomorrow, we will see. They always have something. And I cook soup again, from the last duck necks and I grab the boniest parts of the rabbit as well. It will be a tiny stew from the rest… A rabbit is quite small… We badly need eggs, we have about 8 and it’s not even enough for a day.
I couldn’t resist and bought dairy again (my moderately new darling, quark…) so it’s possible I start November with less strict days and when I run out comes some no dairy time.

The house is cold as the heating happens downstairs and it takes some days until our rooms get warm too. But 17C isn’t that bad, I lived in way colder rooms, that wasn’t nice. I still am cold in my warmest pullover but I go to bed soon.
The weather is great but the nights are cold. The mornings as well. Meanwhile Australia gets hot (where it’s not hot in winter too), says @KetoKoala. She dislikes hot weather. I am similar but I think my tolerance is a tad higher…? Or my ideal temperature. I am not sure. But it must be as she complained about hotness in winter if I remember correctly and she doesn’t live in the North at all. And I can’t live without sunshine. We have a lot of it now, every day is sunny from sunrise until sunset… So my room has sun all day too.

I try to be a bit more concise next time.

today is simple

got 1 lb. of ‘wingettes’ to eat. Hit on markdown, 1/2 price. Oh yes I am shopping sales like a maniac :slight_smile:

First meal of the day will be these small wings.

Second meal not sure. I have nothing defrosted. I don’t want to defrost beef. Just not in the mood right now. I do have more country fat pork ribs to defrost but ??

I might just do a lb. package of shrimp. Just sautee up in some butter and suck them down, maybe with a tin of sardines.

I don’t know, nothing is calling my name much except the darn chicken wings :scream_cat::clown_face:

Oh well, not worried, my meals are meat and seafood and fish and fowl…whatever I choose out of all that is a good eating day to me :wink:

I don’t know but I remember a day when I said I would never eat another chicken wing or a darn chicken thigh…no draw to the thighs but darn I want the wings.

I feel like I am ‘in that carnivore zone’ of feeling very nourished. Very ‘not requiring alot of food’ at all ya know. I hit that from time to time til I flip out of it and I go into just that stabilized super simple, who cares eating mode. I seem to be in it right now. I know I will snap out of it :slight_smile: but will just roll with the flow til I do.

with weather getting colder now I kinda stopped doing more outside chores so maybe with ‘me slowing down a tad’ that my nourishment caught up to my body? Like I don’t require more food moving slower these last days?

I don’t know :sunny: Big T storm just came thru. We got like 2 days of big rain around right now so I am doing inside stuff today and I plan on relaxing some today cause I got a sinus thing from the storms around, but it might be my movement level is effecting me?

when the sun shines I gotta get out and move move move…probably help alot?

OK I got my wingettes in the oven in a bit and then I am doing a lb. of shrimp and a can of tuna for meal 2. Food for the day.

One thing I do love, even not wanting much, DARN planning food for the day is simple :wink:

Ist meal of the day was cubed steak with 2 eggs lean meat going first this morning I’ve got strip steak thawing for later and I have a few more pieces of cubed steak to cook if needed

Well so much going on around me but not around me lol…My husband has been in a hotel room in nebraska the last couple of months (the hotel has a few rooms with kitchens it rents out monthly…)
He finished his school and on job training and is now a certified conductor for union pacific…so we decided maybe we should refinance this house and purchase something there as well… since there was no info on when the rv that was in the accident the day he left would be repaired.

Today we close on this

And if that wasn’t enough the day we won the bid on this house my husband got told the Job he wants here in florida to come home was hiring so he applied…yesterday they called him to set up interview…

So plan now is if he gets the job back here in florida we will rent that out…lol
and on top of that the company fixing the rv finally called and said the rv was ready to be picked up …haha going from nothing to stay in with the dogs now to accommodation coming out our ears we might not need…too fuuny

Good news isn’t always on our timeline, is it? That house is a dandy. we are looking to downsize and all of our offers have failed… due to all cash offers at a lower price! I think we need to ride this crazy market out and hope it settles down. Good for you, making it happen!

Crazy is right they held it unshownfor a week to get interest then booked 7 viewing in one day and had to have our bids in by 1pm next day …I didn’t think we would get it being the interest shown.

The rabbit isn’t nearly as exciting as it was when I ate meat a few times a year only… It’s nice but I can eat my usual pork, Alvaro can enjoy this more rare treat!
I had leftover chicken and pork too, my usual eggs…
It wasn’t a carnivore day yet but I am getting close and tomorrow will be even better. Finally. I plan a super good November when things fall into place and I don’t face hardships at all. I worked for that, maybe it’s not very apparent with my off days but I did, practiced my carni habits as I did it with my keto and low-carb ones in the past.

I made a nice soup from all the duck necks from the freezer (6-7? not small ones) and some bony rabbit part. It’s quite tasty, the small pot was totally full with meat! :smiley: I will have soup for a few days, I will make egg pudding too, that’s quite nice with soup as the extra liquid.

I want smaller and smaller and smaller and first, when we sell my little farm that is left from our big farm, we are living in the RV to roam the good ol’ USA for a while, but gotta get my kid in college and that happens in a few years…after that who knows where we will buy a home, will be at the beach for sure, some lonely little deserted coastal town and yes, the house will be very small. I am so over maintenance on a bigger scale of any kind :slight_smile: I am SO over it all LOL

I had to read the package again and in tiny tiny print it said wings with joints and I am like…then why call the package ‘wingettes’?

I got this crazy want of wings again. Kiddo needs to hit store fast for some craft supplies for a project due at school so I am making a fast detour to store quick, run in get a few packages of wings, and stick them in the oven and just smile eating them.

No clue what is going on with my food choices but I feel great eating them so :sunny:

Made a bunch of first time meals recently. Two days ago was crackling port belly with kidney

Yesterday learned how to make neck sweetbreads/thymus. It was delicious.

Very different month for me, this one.

I’ve been eating primarily pork. Had quite a few roasts, but also some ‘junk’ meat in the form of sausages and bacon. They’re the highest meat percentage I can find (97% pork sausages) - but those cuts are more processed compared to what I ordinarily eat.

I’ve had quite a lot of salmon which has grilled up really nicely, and the leftovers are just as delicious cold, which is always a nice discovery.

I don’t think lamb is as nice when eaten the next day, despite being amazing out of a hot oven. I generally batch cook a joint of meat and then eat it over a few meals, but I think I might move to cooking lamb as and when instead of keeping leftovers.

I’ve also had a bit of a hankering for eggs. I was eating half a dozen a day for a few months; then I stopped entirely. Now I’ve eaten twelve in a few days. Not overthinking it - just eating whatever I fancy.

I’m defrosting some beef to try again - just to see if it’s more appealing again, or whether I’m in a ‘no beef’ zone for a while.

you are sounding just like me right now :slight_smile: in that flip zone of what meats are floatin’ your boat!

I am the same on reheating some meats. Some are wonderful, no issues at all but some reheated to me are icky, I just don’t enjoy them so I do like you, I leave those meats for making and eating immediately, no leftovers, cause if those leftovers aren’t delish, oh boy I sure don’t want them and wasting meat is not an option…I feel ya on that!

You sound like you are in a very good solid place on plan. Love it!

will make 2 meals out of it but will cook them all, not sure if I will eat all today in 2 meal hit but I know that I only wanna turn the oven on once.

Put a big beef stew into the crockpot for family. I can eat some of the meat out of it but in that type of beef gravy, hmmm, that can hit my guts, but darn the house is gonna smell great in a bit when that gets cookin’ —gonna make me want to get those wings in the oven sooner than I normally eat probably :wink:

I transformed the soup into something Alvaro may eat… After I put away a lot for myself :slight_smile: Yes, the lots of meat obviously made a very rich soup so I could only leave some in the pot and add a lot of water (I won’t be like that with my own part as his has vegetables to add flavor but I still can add some water. so I will have plenty of soup). Duck necks are fatty so I used some fat from the top of my cold soup to fry an egg and the rabbit liver and kidneys. They were meh. I start to miss liver, it was so long ago I ate some. Except this few forgettable bites.
But I don’t have liver either. Maybe I will visit the butcher this week and try to do something with pork liver. Alvaro dislikes it, he says but his Mom makes it well and he doesn’t complain then so it may be some prejudice due to it not being so great simply fried, it needs some special care… Last time I wasn’t even good at making liver - but I was still fine with pork liver. Oh well, he doesn’t need to eat it, it can be all mine. He start to feel the meat too much anyway again. But I think he progresses nicely, eating meat is rarely something he is unwilling to do nowadays.

Maybe I cooked the soup longer than ever but the duck necks became more tender than last time so I enjoyed them more. Yay. I ate a little rabbit stew too but it’s mostly Alvaro’s this time. He ate a big leg today :slight_smile: This rabbit has some nice hind legs, lots of meat!

I tried out the water only challenge in small today, I had only water until my first meal. Then I drank coffee but it was just as ineffective to my headache as the 2 painkillers I had. But the (mild but it’s still annoying) pain finally went away.
It was easy and I realized warm water is fine when I need warm liquid. Normally I can only drink it cold. Somewhat cold. Not what I get from the tap after a while in winter, a few degrees Celsius… That’s nasty, my poor throat! But we keep a jar of water in the kitchen and that’s 18C, much better. Alvaro still find it cold sometimes and heat it a little.

Tomorrow Alvaro will cook a big vegetable dish for himself so I can focus on carnivore food for days. Yay. The thing needs some protein with it but my carnivore options will be fine for him. Except I make the cheesy fried egg whites primarily for him but I typically make some for myself, I just add yolk too and sausage instead the cheese cube in the middle… 12 muffins (they are nothing like normal muffins but I use my muffin mold so they are muffins to me), 2 for me, 10 for him, enough for 2 days. I could make quiche muffins as well but this other stuff is good to use up leftover whites, it uses 8 (7 if I add a yolk to make mine).

Hi all you glorious people, it’s been ages since I posted so I thought I would. Usually I have no idea what to say on here, then I remember that I am best if I just write without thinking so that’s exactly what I’ll do. So first off… Happy Halloween :jack_o_lantern:( and I just realised I was about to say " Happy October"… LOL… and then thought… wait it’s 1st November now…THEN laughed again as I realised…UH…no it’s NOT…If it was i would be a very bad daughter for forgetting my Mother’s birthday!!!)

Oh boy I am so nuts… Wait… Nuts ain’t allowed on this thread so I’m a silly sausage instead!!!:hotdog:… The bread is an ILLUSION!!! :shushing_face::ghost: ( actually I’m bored of keto koala… a koala is SO not keto… So I’ll be a Silly Sausage instead… my Mum used to call me that anyway) So I spend most of my time Carnivore/Carnivore-ish… so apart from my 50g of lettuce and my caffeine… and a teeny 15ml dab of roasted garlic sauce on my Meat… I am a carni girl…:wink: My favourite meat is certainly Beef… But I am very much into chicken lately too… I went through a major pork phase there for awhile… but I ate it everyday for about 2 months and needed a break…:wink: I’ll go back to it… I am not so much into lamb at the moment… but that suits me fine, cos lamb is DAMN pricey!!! I do love tuna ( I get a big hankering for tinned tuna in brine or Springwater at times… Omega 3 is good :upside_down_face:) and if I want fresh fish, I LOVE my Barramundi… Mmmm fried with butter is good… Crispy skin…And I also like to indulge in canned smoked oysters… But my problem with seafood is… I can’t eat the damn stuff without Vinegar…and I DROWN things in the stuff…:scream: That was great, but it started to eat away at my teeth!!!:pensive::sob: So before anything bad happens to my teeth, I quit Vinegar… so I’ll have to think of another approach to my seafood… I don’t know why I feel I need a sour thing to put with it!!! I love my cheeses, I usually indulge in cheddar or Mozzarella ( I BET I spelt that wrong… oh I KNOW it :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:, and if I haven’t… I’ll laugh at myself even MORE) I always get 100g of sliced double smoked ham and melt the cheese on top of it in the frying pan… and it is MMMMM tastes like bacon without all the grease… And of course, I love my eggs. I sometimes fry things in coconut oil too… Just cos I like the flavour… and coconut oil is good for skin?? So yeah, that’s basically it… I am not a big fan of spending ages in a kitchen if I don’t have to, plus I only cook for myself… so I am quite content eating the same stuff all the time… and the quicker it’s cooked the better :wink: I do eat steak now and again too, but I prefer my beef mince lately…:water_buffalo: better than BEE mince :honeybee::scream: On that note… I will go… But Have a Happy Halloween and I’ll be here more… :scream:

That’s probably when you use the virgin coconut ON your skin… Not eating coconut oil… But I know little about these things. Still I am quite sure about it… Why would some pure fat help with skin if you just eat it…?
But WHY can’t my body use some fat to keep my elbow and sole skin from drying out? Wouldn’t it be logical…? I have and eat so much fat :smiley:

Mostly eggs, quark, some processed meat, some duck neck and a tiny little bit of rabbit stew. And coffees with cream, tomorrow comes the only water challenge that I probably won’t do but must do a honest attempt at it! I started with very warm water this morning but it got old. But I really except a mostly coffeeless November.
