The best idea I came up with was weaved bacon strips in place of a pizza crust! I thought of it a couple days ago and then tried it tonight. It was really good!
My first Keto Pizza
Thank you! Fathead pizza? Im going to look that up. I love pizza soooo much. But,the idea of riced cauliflower as my crust…just…I mean I like that vegetable but,no way. LoL
I despise all forms of cauliflower. Fathead uses almond flour. We’re serving it to my wife’s family on Saturday.
Hahaha. Yeah,I can only do steamed cauliflower. Ill try that pizza. Almond flour is a great ingredient. BTW,(im new to this)Is coconut flour allowed in keto?
Hi Kat,
That looks great.
I make “skillet” pizza, where I just skip the crust and build a pizza in a pan, the top of a pizza. Bake and eat out of the skillet. Eating keto is a joy. It just requires a little bit of imagination and we get to eat the best part of a pizza.
Keto for Life!
Warmest Regards,
Richard
Definitely try the fathead pizza. Even my kids and my Mom like it. My little girl will specifically ask me to make it.
That sounds good too! Now I just gotta find a good chocolate krto cake recipie! LoL
Do you cook the bacon first or just layer the stuff on top of raw bacon and cook the lot in the oven?
We cook the bacon first - once the toppings are on and the pizza is back in the oven, it doesn’t remain in there long enough to cook the bacon through.
I weave the raw bacon like a basket. I fry it while keeping pressure on top of the bacon. After its crispy and drained of the grease I put it on a pizza pan.I add cheese first then a little pizza sauce, sliced onion, sliced mushroom and a little more cheese. Then I broil it on high in the oven for a few mins. until the cheese is uniformly melted and my onions are slightly browned on the edges.
There’s also another pizza crust gaining favor - Kristie Sullivan’s ke-dough pizza crust. Find that one on diet doctor or on “cooking keto with Kristie” on YouTube.

This is the recipe that we use. We usually double it and only use one egg. Even worked for a deep dish!
