I haven’t experienced particular pain but I hope you feel better… I recently heard that MCT oil can be chemically processed or expeller processed and try to only eat expeller processed.,…as the chemicals are not helpful from the hexane separation some brands use.

I think thats what the difference is between Virgin and non virgin coconut oil. Hexane gas is used to pull the oils out, that simply cant be pressed out. Like most vegetable oils. Corn afaik, cant be pressed to get oil, and requires hexane or something similar to extract or free up the oils.
This does leave a certain amount of toxic hexane in the final product, but it has a low enough vapour point that they can just warm the oil to “cook” the hexane out. Sure, i beleive they get it all out.
