OMGravy……I tried scrolling back to see who all has mentioned being Cold! I thought maybe my house was just cold (I do live in a higher altitude). But no. two different measurements verify 70°. Now I get it.
but does it mean anything in particular? Is something new at work?
Your body is shutting things down to conserve energy. Eating a spoonful of coconut oil or a pat of butter could be enough to warm you up.
I thought I was so prepared for this EF info wise! will my body adjust, maybe get a cortisol hit early morning? or, will the fat be the best way to ensure being able to go forward?

62 hrs woke up with a slight headache.
Had a cup of broth. Feeling ready to take on my day
36hrs- feel lots better than I did earlier in the week, scales were kind this morning too- bad I know getting on them too often…
@Paendora- it was Shortstuff who mentioned the being cold, I’m the same…not so bad if I keep busy, but if I stop, I have to have a hot water bottle!
The suspense is killing me, but at the same time not going to this thread is helping so much with the fast
That works, too! Some folks drink a cup of coffee, tea, or even hot water. Since fat gives such a small insulin hit, many people use small amounts if it means they can go another 24 hours or more.
At 35 hours now, drinking black coffee and water + sea salt during this one. Going until Friday evening (another US holiday weekend coming up quick).
42hrs so far for me- feel great today, did a short rebound workout (I’m pretty unfit, so it was enough!), hardly hungry at all, even with the training course free food temptations this morning… why is it so different to when I tried a 48hr fast at the beginning of the week?!!
I’m going to keep this as the Wild Card should I need to play it. Slept great, woke up a little cold but this time due to it actually being cold inside and outside. Felt my similar morning fullness (thank you to hormones feeding me before I wake)and went for black coffee.
Have committed to a yoga class after work that will get me past the 48 hour mark.
This thread and you guys and support from some very appreciated individuals is keeping me forward thinking about this EF! Thank you, Thank you!
I’ve been on CPAP for over 20 years and love it. I didn’t lose any weight though but actually think I may have gained. I started sleeping at night only and since I wasn’t napping for hours during the day I guess I was cooking and eating more.
Weird week, I have tried to get in a 36 hr. fast since Monday, no luck. Yesterday I actually felt unwell after only 12 hrs. I really thought I was over all this. I think it might have been stress related. My husband came down with food poisoning, and that really stressed me out.
So last night I started another attempt. Feeling good so far and have passed the 14 hr. marker already.

When I did ZC my first & second time I still had coconut oil in coffee. This time I am truly carnivore and the results are fantastic. Could be down to no eggs or the obscene quantity of home made Kefir I am drinking, or the coconut oil, who knows.
With your fast last week, did the cold feeling ever go away?
YAY, day 1 of a n=1 fast, 22hrs and counting. This is my first fast where I am also 100% zero carb / carnivore.
Thanks to ZC I have started this fast with zero digestive issues but still feeling very cold.
Have been doing 40 hr fasts recently as digestive issues force me to end things. Fingers crossed I avoid them this time and manage a few days… Only time will tell.
It did, but only when the weather got really warm… admittedly it made the heat nicer to deal with though
I’m headed back to Texas in July, maybe I’ll start another EF on the way in an effort to beat the heat!
warmer now that I’m at work, or…just busy and not thinking about it as much. at 41 hrs and going strong!
75 hrs. Feeling fine. Headaches are down to a ‘Sponge brain’ feeling. Not like brainfog though.
Next goal is 96 let’s see where it goes from there…
I managed to get an extra shift on sat morning, which is cool because that is usually the time I start stuffing my face out of boredom.
48hrs up; hubby hasn’t twigged how long I’ve fasted for, (he’s happy with how I look now, I’m not!) as I do a couple in the week, & I feel really good so far so will go until tomorrow morning- 60hrs, my longest. I’m a bit worried about when I do eat though, as I’ve had the runs before & am out early tomorrow, & out straight after lunch again… will have to have something small?!

Yes, today is completely different, I started fasting around 6 PM Wed. night will go to Friday brunch time.
