@misterbutters Linda, try getting some extra potassium via LoSalt (or similar) - that is how I am doing it
Day 8 saw me reducing my overall salt intake (both Sodium and Potassium) to see if that results in less interrupted sleep - just woke up 3 times but a much longer sleep interval between 2 and 3 so will look to reduce even further today. No cramps again either.
I also listened to a Jimmy Moore podcast where they were discussing Sodium/Potassium balance and were recommending a 2 to 3 ratio, so that is what I will try to do today.
Anyway - Minerals for Day 8 were:
Sodium - 4686mg
Potassium - 3747mg
Calcium - 910mg
Magnesium - 487mg
Interestingly, both my Calcium and Magnesium were lower than usual yet no cramps, so will not worry about those for a while, I am sticking to 2 of the Calcium, Magnesium and Vit D3 tablets a day, but taken a few hours apart rather than both together and then make up the rest with whatever is in the food I am having that day.
Still, 3-4 days without cramps and definitely looking at Potassium as being the key rather than Magnesium, though I would not rule out being “low” on Magnesium for a while and my body now has a consistent level that it needs due to the additional supplements.
