I taught my friend who was a big quilter how to knit and her husband has never forgiven me!!
Her yarn addiction is worse than mine!!!

I have you guys so beat. Iâm also a floor and table loom and spinning wheel dealer so you know, they find their way to me.
Okay, so I will NEVER be introducing you to my wife.
Sorry, sheâs a sweet lady, but I refuse to allow you two to meet!
I am still pretty terrible. I enjoy it because I am not musically inclined, so I can play around with it without giving myself any pressure to be any good. Itâs more a relaxation tool than an instrument. I also use it with kindergarten age kids to start class. Itâs a nice way to get everyoneâs attention without yelling at anyone. Sets a much happier tone for class time.
I took my best friendâs kids to a pottery atelier (a late x-mas present)âŚi remember two actors from melrose place had a similar-themed store in Seattle and it was a fun place to go, something different. I hope I got their creative juices going and they created a nice memory
I believe I am fast on your heels. Hubby and I drove down to Orlando to pick up my 7th and largest loom on Friday and drove back yesterday! Uuugghhh! Sheâs still in the SUV. Weâll unload her today, we were just so exhausted by the time we got in last night. It didnât stop me from doing more research on it though.
@dlc96_darren is right @Ruina itâs really a black hole that you get sucked into. Tread (or Treadle) carefully! Hahaha see what I did there?
I canât wait to be able to make puns like these myself!
Whatâd you get? Iâm taking a Jason Collingwood rug class next month so you knowâŚneed a different loom for those, right?
I just live here, no plans to leave. But any foreigners living here have to accept the reality that that could change at any moment. Immigration is a controversial topic in the States, but not here. There is no controversy. Govât says you go, you go. There is no ideology to uphold.
I purchased an antique (rare) Dryad Upright Rug Loom from a guy who won it at an auction and thought he would make a ton of money off of it. Little did he know it was meant for me and I wasnât willing to pay a ton of money for it! Sheâs absolutely lovely and has great bones but a dirty face. I think someone kept her in an attic or garage for a number of years. The frame is rock solid but the string heddles are a bit loose and the apron strings need to be replaced. She just needs some TLC. Iâm currently climatizing her and she got her first bath today in who know how many decades.

Finally finished these yesterday! Both are oiled, Spalted Alder. I love the days I get to play in the wood shop.
