JUNE 2025 Intermittent/Extended Fasting All Welcome

(KCKO, KCFO 🥥) #1

June already so here is a new thread.

I have lost 3 of the 5 lbs. I wanted to this past week. Just doing 2MAD with no eating after 4 PM. So happy with those results.

Anyone else having successes?

Congrats! Thanks for starting the June fasting thread.

I am on a business trip this week, but will be home next week and plan to start a fast after lunch on Tuesday,

I almost had an OMAD day earlier… But today I truly had it (well, except some drops of cream in my coffees… I keep trying to clean it up) and it’s a fat fast day too  Super low-cal (in my world, at least) with plenty of walking (with a torn meniscus, almost surely… I lost my appetite when I have figured it out this afternoon. walking is a relief as it is typically painless unlike almost anything else) and I even liked my food, it didn’t feel too fatty like last time.
Tomorrow is back to normal eating but skipping lunch was so easy today and 2MAD keeps me fat without too extreme restrictions (amd I just can’t go that far) so I will go for another OMAD day tomorrow! I may try to do EF soon but after this low protein day I am looking forward to a normal, high protein one!
I was hungry at some point but it wasn’t strong and it disappeared anyway. It was easy, I don’t do hard things especially now that I have multiple aching parts. Dentist appointment helped with skipping lunch even though I got home early. I was glad a fat fast day means just a few bites.

My sleeping time shifted a lot, it’s way earlier now. It helps with a smaller eating window. I don’t get hungry earlier just because I wake up early (unless it’s super early but that’s quite rare and I have bigger problems then) and I don’t have a chance for midnight hunger as I am asleep at that time  That’s cool. And you know what else is cool? The air in the morning! So I can air the house and walk in nice weather. Early waking is super useful in winter too so I will keep it.

And I said it many times but I really, really try to take my fat-loss goals seriously now (it’s a whole bunch of other things rolled in one, actually. OMAD is simpler, way less carby and so on. even if I can’t do it every day). I will just ignore hunger before 5pm if possible and it’s usually possible and even easy, I just don’t tend to do it.

It’s great, I manage almost-OMAD without a problem now  I mean, I still have a few bites (well usually a drink) when it’s lunchtime (it’s not the time, it’s my SO at the dining table) but it’s minimal. I probably eat little now, I even took notes but kinda lost them (I KNOW I need my notebook but end up using individual piece of papers), eh whatever. I am most probably losing fat now but we will see. But OMAD has so many adventages, for me at least! Under normal circumstances, way less carbs and desserts as I just get satiated with my normal food that is very welcomed after a day of fasting. It was very welcomed at lunchtime but to eat the same for dinner, not my thing. It depends, sometimes it is. And it’s simpler and chill… We will see how long it lasts  I expect the occasional 2MAD day and maybe there will come a fasting day too at some point!
I need to cook and clean a bit less this way (still much but less, yay), that’s neat too.
