Kangaroo meat. Found some at a frozen food store.
I seem to be very fond of raw meat lately.
Full disclosure: Today was a ketovore day. 15gr of total carbs. Weirdly I also experienced cravings today.
@Shinita nice pictures

@Shinita nice pictures
Cod loin wrapped in bacon not as nice as i thought it would be. Tried a bit of the bacon on its own without the cod and it was completely tasteless. May have to have something later that has a bit of taste.
Had so e cheese before eating this should have saved it for afterwards
Iāve been nibling away on this thing lime there is no tomorrow.
Should be ashamed of myself.
Meat can be just as addictive as chocolat.
Thanks it does feel good to let it out with people who understand!!
I wish I didnāt have to buy extra stuff either, family wants it tho, ugh, but in the end, it isnāt them ya know, even tho I wanna blame them , it boils down to me and good thing is I am getting me now under better control and in a better mood now!
bacon wrapped cod. hmm. I am not a fish person so this wouldnāt interest me but very cool experiment to try! ya never know what combo you do make and it will be delish. I am not a fan of ābacon wrappedā anything, somehow the bacon never crisps good enough for me or I donāt like it paired with stuff. Nothing wrong with trying things tho!
I love that! Made me smile!! Thanks for the support!!
@Shinita, nice pics of that crispy duck skin!
@Carnivoor, yea that is strange you went weird on some cravings. huhā¦something in the air? who knows LOL but I am finally getting better control now. Like my mind was jumbled up and now I am setting me straight again!! Nice pics!!
----------------good morning carnivores
I ate big yesterday. Had to fight some cravings, even had some crap in my hands but put it back. I said NO, NO WAY I am going down this road. And I won thru the day but eating fab on zc sure makes it so much easier.
1.25 lb. NY strip steak
small cheeseburger patty
tin of sardines
2 lbs. snow crab legs with alot of dipping butter
4 country style pork spare ribs
Yea I talked me off a ledge again yesterday but this morning I feel so much more control and āsmartsā ya know. Nice steak, didnāt phase me, I wanted more food immediately so I made a small burger and thought that would be enough, nope, then sardines, and thought come on here, I should be full and I was kinda full but head hunger was kicking in to.
I then started a recon on crap in the kitchenā¦when I started doing that I saidā¦OMG WTH? what do I have that will make me zc happy? Oh yea those crab legsā¦WEEEeeee!! Ate 2 lbs and when done I was so full I was smiling big. Thought no way I should want more today but later early evening I was like, damn I feel like I am gonna want to eat again so I threw in those 4 pork ribs to cook that I kinda planned on using tomorrowā¦glad I did. I ate all 4 and enjoyed every bite and then felt āvery full and satisfiedā with my eating day. Eat big zc when we have to do just that and we save ours, well it works that way for me
In a better mood too, slept great last night, woke up more perky ya know, not a dreaded feeling of āam I gonna go on a bingeā feeling and no I donāt have it. I feel more calm and secure so yea I think I made it thru a crappy craving time and came out the other end ok! Watching me still, being careful and thoughtful to be sure I donāt do anything stupid. Been known to do just that sometimes
but I wonāt be doing it with my food intake

Donāt ya just luvāem!
That worked up my appetite for brunch of beef sirloin steak and 2 fried eggs cooked in leftover lamb and beef dripping. The sirloin wasnāt as tender as the ribeye i had 2 days ago but it was alright. Had to give the fat another fry off to make it edible. Wasnāt planning on it going in the bin lol
@Fangs I accept that some days Iām just hungrier. Stress, weather, physical activity, whatever. It might be an idea to make sure you have snacky carnivore food on hand, just in case. That way, when you need to do a recon on ācrapā in the kitchen, youāll always find something good.
@Karen18 Some kinds of steak really are better than others. Lots of info about this on the Internet. Unfortunately, I canāt eat steak or pork chops any more. Yummy for you!
Iām ārelaxed carnivoreā; I donāt eat plants, but I drink coffee and herbal tea. Also, because I canāt eat many cuts of beef or pork, and my kitchen use is limited, some of the food I buy contains small amounts of filler. So I seldom post about my food on this thread. I am slowly edging toward a cleaner way, but Iām not in a rush.
I do read the thread every day. Thanks, everyone!
it is funny ya said this cause I just said the exact opposite to myself.
see I donāt snack. not now. did when I started but I said to myself, screw this, BE SURE at all times to make sure there is chicken, pork, beef DEFROSTED for use at all times
Sometimes I get āworriedā on defrosting ātoo muchā and I never wanna lose it cause my appetite goes up and down ya know. Maybe I am thinking too much on just that? Who knows LOL With being on plan and knowing I can swing big food to almost no food needed and eating lighter I get trapped in a kinda food defrost nightmare time
I tell ya, my life HAHA
but yea, a few burgers cooked and ready to eat is never a bad thing and I can cook burgers from frozen easily with a lid on top to defrost and steam the inside without burning, so ya know what you made me think ofā¦have more burger patties done up and ready to go in the freezer. I do this alot but when I wane from it I noticed I do miss my easy access burgersā¦ok, you opened me up again to be sure I have this available.
great chatā¦makes me think this and that to make it work and what āI sometimes forget I do to make it workā comes back to meā¦Cool
I feel for you on that shared kitchen situation truly. When one has all in options for control it makes a difference, you are stunted a tad but tell ya one thing, put YOU in that shared kitchen ya knowā¦make it work for ya all the time and try not to let the balance wane against youā¦but it sounds like you are doing ok thru it!
Yes, it is fun to kick some ideas around. You never know what might be of help to someone else (or to oneself). In person Iām not very sociable, but I have to admit that I always learn something when I do venture out. I must say that I prefer the online version of human contact. This way we can focus on the things that truly interest us, instead of listening to the usual conversation topics. Yawn.
Sorry guys, I havenāt been on the forum but still going strong with my January plan. I guess I did ācheatā a little last night in regards to no dairy, as I had chef shamy garlic Parmesan butter in my wings. But thatās ok! They were worth it! Iāve had a couple not great night sleep since cutting 80% of my salt intake, but most have been very good! I will continue this until it stops working for me! I will say that every single time I go lower on fat, within 3 days, my hair starts falling out by the handful and itās happening this time as well. People say hair loss is a result of an event 3 months prior, but the fact that it literally happens every time I go longer than 2 or 3 days with lower fat, speaks more to me than the āscienceā. So I donāt know what to think, but Iām just going to wait it out for a little.
I donāt know where I left off on my meals, so Iāll just post some random ones.
Please post pictures, you may be a big inspiration for others, who knows. I always imagine you eat everyting raw
@Ketodaisy food looks delicious again, yum.
@ karen18 pieces of meat dipped in egg yolk is the best there is, I love the combo.
No! Thatās truly one of the great tastes right there. Iām married to an Italian and that makes me think of Siena, Italy.
No shame!
Vic, what is that wooden rack or contraption for? At first it reminded me of a wine bottle holder, as with sedimented wine where one needs to tilt the bottle very gently, to keep the sediment in the bottle, but now Iām not sure at allā¦
Hi Doug,
Nope, it is purposely classic design for holding a ham. A typical Spanish thing.
This ham came with the knife and the holder. Have a few others laying around here.
There is a short steel pin on the bottom and a vice on the left to hold the whole leg in place while cutting.
Thanks, Vic. I might try posting photos for a while ā or every once in a while. Recently I tried uploading a photo, but it was too many kb or mb for this forum. I got an app for resizing; maybe it will work.
Also, as I mentioned, I donāt want to pollute the thread with my not-true-carnivore shenanigans.
Since you asked, hereās Meal 2 of 2 meals per day:
300 g (10.5 ounces) burger patties with homemade yogurt dip, 2 slices bacon, 50 g (2 ounces) Cambozola cheese. (Edit: I had more bacon after photo was taken.)
@Fangs the cod wrapped in bacon came like that. I bought it over xmas from Lidl. It came frozen and you are absolutely right the bacon didnāt crisp even though the last 30 mins was uncovered in oven as per the cooking instructions. It was one of the āWhen itās gone itās goneā products and i wish it had gone before i went shopping that day
Well after the sirloin steak and eggs i pictured earlier i then had 3 pork cumberland sausages while i waited for the lobster to finish defrosting. It had been in the fridge overnight as instructed but there was still ice when i opened the wrapping. Anyway i left it on the drainer for a little while and it ended up as a snack and as my friend put it a bit of a posh snack lol. Yet another Lidl xmas special but unlike the cod loin this was really beautiful. I have another in the freezer Yesss!
