20 hours in. I gave myself a fasting project: I learned (thanks youtube) how to “tap” (tapping/EFT). HO. LY. CANOLI! Since 3am I’ve used it for stress, overwhelm, anxiety, anger and neck and low back pain. I have noticed immediate benefit. When I next feel hunger signals, I’m going to do tapping for that. Bring on the woo woo. I’ll report back.

You can define that for yourself. There are no rules. However consider that fat soluble vitamins may not absorb well in the absence of fat in your diet.

That too. That happened to me today and I had a blob of butter to settle my stomach. My fasts tend to be fat fasts but despite taking my supplements with fat coffee I still had some upset.
Ahh, thanks for this. This helps plenty. I shall abstain from taking any vitamins while on this fast.
This was easy. On to tomorrow. Day 3 will be on a rainy Sat. I can relax and take my time.

100% mental for me. I’m constantly thinking about food, whether I’m fasting or not. Only difference with fasting is I’m not getting the satisfaction of the next planned meal. Which is not for another 83+ hours.
I’m not diabetic and not obese! It will be my longest fasting and last try to stay in keto I swear I’m in keto only bcz of this community ! Ti be honest keto didn’t work for me no energy no weight loss no good feelings just I feel I’m anorexia eating disorder or maybe bulumia I fast the whole day and then eat my fats and no life even no social life I’m always home bcz no one can understand wht I’m doing in my country … and after alll I’m not losing weight … anyways I’ll give myself a last change I’ll fast 4 days and then back to keto and see whts gonna happen ! Hopefully I’ll have energy and lose weight ! And btw my levels are 1.4 and 2 … so yes I’m fat adapted and since nov I’m keto and before November I used to eat max 80g of carb for one year so I’m sure I’m adapted !
Just had my last meal before starting my planned 36-hour fast.
Although I don’t like to drink coffee without cream, I’m going to forego the cream and try choke down my coffee without it. Otherwise, just plain tea and water.
25+ hours in. 24 oz of mint tea today. 40 oz of water. No coffee. 6 hour catch-up visit with a friend…great distraction except for all the food talk LOL. Feeling well and going to bed shortly to read some more of Dr. Fung’s Guide to Fasting. Hoping tomorrow will be equally as easy.
Goddamn, this fast just got a whole lot harder emotionally. Just got news that a friend passed away.
Awww, so sorry to hear that. My condolences and prayers to you and your friend.
Just curious; if you’re not diabetic or obese, what are your goals with keto? There are many other reasons, but those are two of the biggest ones.
