Matthead Pizza. Dare I say it?
I'm really disappointed with myself today
Show me your boring keto food!
What did you Keto today?
What did you Keto today?
Started yesterday .. need help with this
Started making some of these a few weeks ago with my sons (very young, but they love cooking). They loved it, and I love it. I’ve tried a few different keto-friendly pizza attempts in the past, but this is definitely the best (no wonder everyone talks about it or has a version of it!).
A modification I like: after toppings are on, brush the crust with some melted bacon grease mixed with a bit of oregano and garlic powder (or minced, depending on how you want it), or some other kind of extra flavor. Makes it extra great when you get to that last crust bit.
I modified my method slightly to the following.
I have a Thermomix - so how I prepare is to simply mill 100g almonds then add the following:
- 1.5 cups of pizza cheese
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Oregano flakes
- 1 egg
Combine for a few secs then spread to desired thickness on baking paper and bake on a pizza stone until the bottom is cooked.
Flip, Top with toppings and then cook again until pizza is ready.
Perfect Fathead every time.
I’m definately making this crust rolled up with cinnamon and butter inbetween.
Cinnamon rolls ftw!
I was thinking about this to make fathead wrapped hotdogs… found some uncured zero carb hotdogs… they were on special and we’re still like 5$ for the package…
Best rolls are the ones when you get all the extra help you need. My husband told me to listen and watch good. Lol. He wants me to add cream cheese frosting to the top. Those are going to be good, will deffinately try this also!
@Brenda those look amazing! I’m going to make these for my lady, and kids I guess too… I’ll have to get some unsweetened vanilla cashew milk to go with these cause it sounds amazing!
Seems this pizza crust recipe has been tracked down to a blog called “Cooky’s Creations”.
That’s where the fathead guys found it.
I found a comment on Cooky’s blog. Great ideas here:
“I try to keep a couple of balls in the fridge ready to roll out and use. I’ve also baked them and froze them between parchment paper for a quick dinner. My next venture is going to be to try it as a Pot Pie crust.”
Oh man. I must try this!!
