Fasting buddy?

Hey there! I am starting a water fast tomorrow. I am not too sure how long I will go. At least 10 days… the longest I have water fasted is 8 days. I will be having herbal tea, mineral water, and some coffee along with plain old water. I find the first 4 days the hardest and then hunger dissipates. Please join me or message me if interesteed!

Sounds great Debby! Just had a bit of coffee. I add a Splenda to it. Thinking of going to dog park later on. So far so good. How are you doing?

Doing great, thanks! Just finished dinner. Ended up zero carb today. :slight_smile: So, if all goes well, I am finished eating for awhile.

Awesome on zero carb! I started today so getting close to 24 hour mark now!
Had a pretty successful day! Even went to the movie minus popcorn! So really enjoying my mineral water!

out of curiosity how do you all do on extended fasts? what benefits have you seen? I’m thinking about trying one but not so comfortable with the thought.

The first 3-4 days are tough then hunger normally fades. I like it for weighloss and creativity.

Today has been a little tough. A bit hungry but I know this will pass. My weight dropped 7lbs from yesterday. Obviously had a lot of glycogen stored. I did some light walking and enjoying my La Croix water!

I don’t know if it is truly a “fast” but I have keto-coffee in the morning and a cup or two of bone broth and/or bullion through out the day during my last two 7 day fasts. The savory flavor really helps with the hunger . And of course lots of water to stay hydrated. Good luck.

I’m out. Decided to have some herbal tea last night. Normally I only drink water and unsweetened sparkling water during a fast. Not sure if it was the tea or what, but I was very hungry last night and ate some ghee, beef tallow, and two small chicken drumsticks.

On the bright side, my blood sugar was good this morning. 82.

@Autumn_Sangra awesome! Looks like your killing it…Did you say a movie, at a theater, without popcorn!!! You’re hard core…Lol

I’m about 18 hours in a planned 48 fast. Only water and some coffee so far. I might dive into some bone broth if I have to.

I’m a little over 63 hours into this fast. Crazy the water weight I had been holding onto. 12 pounds down since Sunday morning. Friday night I splurged on orange leaf yogurt😫
So I know the next few days will be a lot slower in weight loss but also I will be getting rid of fat!
Great job on your 48 hour fast! I find it gets a bit easier after a few practice runs. Not that I enjoy hunger pains… but now I know what to expect and push through. So grateful I have a supportive hubby!

It’s totally ok Debby! Sometimes I start a fast and just can’t make it. I try not to beat myself up too much! I’m just hoping I can last through Super Bowl this Sunday. But if not that’s ok too. I just will eat keto instead of the junk I had last weekend. There’s nothing better thank a nice ribeye with blue cheese after fasting. HEAVEN!

That’s awesome! It is fascinating how much is lost during a fast. I’ve never been any longer than 60 hours. And you are totally right, after day two it’s pretty easy. The only problem I run into is social. If you make it through the super bowl…You get to move up to the front of the class. Lol

Ok so I broke fast. Sucks because I originally wanted to shoot for 10 days this round. I stayed keto so shouldn’t have too much of weight rebound.
Just gonna pick up again tomorrow. It’s totally a mind thing for me at least. You are doing fantastic though!

Also it was 12 pounds lost (water weight) since Sunday morning. I think I had typed 2. I can store so much fluid.This has happened for years! Noticed it when I would train during my marathon days.
