Yeah, a lot of times it takes me 2 or 3 starts to get an extended fast going. 
I think the problem this time was that I kicked myself out of ketosis the day before I started, so I ended up with a 24 hour fast. But, the good news is that yesterday was a success! Day 1 finished (now 39 hours in) and I should be good to go!
Checked blood ketones this morning and was 1.1
