Last week, I tried to eat OMAD. I could not do it. I cannot eat all my calories in a short time period. I can eat them within a limited time range, say 2-3 hours, but not in one meal.
Also, I’ve been doing Body by Science (weight lifting to failure) followed by HIIT (1 minute as fast as I can go on a treadmill, followed by 1 minute of walking recovery). It works out to be about 45-50 minutes, 2x/week, then 1x/week of just HIIT with abs/lower back, so about 25 minutes. I work out in the morning (fasted of course). I’m lucky to make it until 11am to eat, so I always eat 2 meals on these days (if I do a longer term fast of >2 days, I don’t work out).
Additionally, if I try to eat OMAD, it interferes with my digestion. I literally have to go to the bathroom shortly after eating.
Finally, I don’t get home many nights until 6:30pm, 7:20pm, etc. And I go to bed at or shortly after 9pm. I’m trying to eat all my calories right before bed. This is the way life is with a family with 2 kids in school and with after-school activities. I find it hard not to eat with the family at these times, although I will do so when fasting for multiple days.
Anyway, am I the only person with these problems? If you have had these problems, and overcame them, how did you do it?
