5-Day Fast Diary / Tracker

(Full Metal KETO AF) #21

Are you tracking weight loss? :cowboy_hat_face:

#22

@David_Stilley Yes! I was at 162 the day I started and was 158.2 this morning. So four days, and almost 4 pounds!

(Susan) #23

Congratulations, you are doing great =).

(Cancer Fighting Ketovore :)) #24

Looking forward to your next update.
As your chart is getting long, maybe consider keeping the last 3 entries and then add on from there, just so your post isn’t just a lot of numbers. Plus we can easily scroll for the previous entries.

#26

Thanks for the advice. I think instead I’ll just keep one full chart and will delete ones posted previously with duplicate data. I like being able to see the whole data set and scan down through the numbers in one place.

(Cancer Fighting Ketovore :)) #27

I actually just kept updating one chart, but do what works best for you

#28

About 115 hours… only 5 hours left!

(Susan) #29

That is terrific, you have done really well =)). Just make sure that you are home when you refeed at all =).

#30

I am off work and home for three days. The timing was well thought out!

(Susan) #31

Oh, awesome. That is perfect then =).

#32

120 hours!
I decided to break my fast at my original goal. I felt like I could go longer but I decided to stick to my plan.

Just had about 1/2 cup of sauerkraut and apple cider vinegar. Will wait for a while and have some bone broth.

(Susan) #33

Congratulations on 120 hours fasting, you did great =).

I’m going to continue to take BG over next few days to see how my refeed plan works out.

Well done. I am 93 hours in on a 5 day fast right now. EF has been getting easier and easier for me. However, this one has been challenging as I’ve been under a good deal of stress.

(Susan) #36

Best wishes on your fast, NinMD -if you are too overwhelmed due to the stress, just stop? Cortisol is annoying…

#37

Great job! Especially under stress, that must be tough. When I got to the 100 hour mark I figured no matter what happened at that point - continue or stop - my body had reaped many of the benefits I was wanting from the fast (autophagy specifically) and I’d be good. I hope you can make it but if not, it’s still amazing.

#38

Here are my final results for weight (pounds), BMI, and average daily blood glucose from Saturday (first full day, after big feast the day before) through Thursday. (BMI is measured by my scale. Not a true measure but comparatively it provides some helpful information.)

Daily average for BG went from 81 to 76.

#39

It really is, but I feel like if I stopped fasting every time I got stressed I would never fast. :joy:

#40

Thanks for the encouragement. I am 107 hours in. Not hungry at all, but I’m on edge due to recent stress and probably the fasting adrenaline. I’m not tempted to stop yet. I’m still planning on breaking the fast tomorrow with homemade sauerkraut and bone broth.

#41

Sounds like 120 isn’t going to be a problem then. That’s maybe a few hours up and a few hours asleep? You got it.

When i broke my fast last night I had 2T apple cider vinegar and an hour later had 1/2 C sauerkraut. Then an hour later had more sauerkraut and some bone broth. I went to bed and when I woke up I had coffee with cream, half an avocado and a fried egg (no butter or oil yet.) Lunch was bone broth soup with chicken and spinach.

I’ve had zero negative GI issues so far. It’s hard to be patient with refeeding though. I have fresh corned beef that I want to pile up, top with melted Swiss, sauerkraut and a homemade thousand island. That’ll be for tonight if I don’t have issues.
