"you can eat more!"?

Trying to hang in there. Enough said.
I can do this. Just the scale is not moving.
I just want to make sure my food calculator is correct. I workout and it subtracts my workout. Making it look like i can eat more food. But i have a limit of calories i want to eat. But then that could be it too. Maybe I’m not eating enough.

I feel like im eating good and happy. The scale is making me think the way im eating as if i want to be maintaining my current weight . Cause at this point the last 10 days my weight is the same. The same!!! Im in Ketosis since the 3rd or 4rth day. I lost the initial 10lbs like by the 8th day. Now ZERO and I’m trying real hard.

If you’re hungry eat more. If you’re not hungry don’t eat. No app or calculator or any other person can tell you what is right for your body.

Take a deep breath. It will be fine.

The best advice is not to overthink things. Eat when hungry. Eat until satiated. Get plenty of fluids and electrolytes.

Weight loss is not linear. You won’t lose every day. You will gain some days. You will have huge drops followed by nothing. If you let it, the scale will become an obsession.

You may be eating too little if you are strictly limiting calories to the point you are hungry. You may be eating too much if you are forcing fat bombs and multiple meals and snacks all day, loading up on treats, etc.

We can’t help if we don’t know what you’re eating. Also, you won’t see the scale drop every single day. It doesn’t give you the whole picture. Give us more details and we might see you are eating something with hidden carbs, or something else. And remember, this is a long term process, not instant.

See that is what i dont know
I eat eggs and other things.
Im not eating chips, cookies, cake, tacos, WHITE RICE (Im in Hawaii) ect. Im not evening having soysauce AND NO CHEATING AT ALL.
but the stress level is up.
Im having plumbing issues. I just was feeling stressed. I had a heavy dinner. Steak, sour cream and avocado… even though i had ample calories available. I got my self off the couch after dinner and walked jog 30 minutes around the condo. I feel im eating all these heavy fats its not nutrition eating habit you can do with exercise. I was on a 800 to 1000 calorie for 2 years. You could work out or not and still lose. No tone muscles but still lose. So thats not what i am looking. Ive done 1 5k trail run at my best weight. The 2nd 5k lots of hills And I was heavier. I didn’t feel healthy I was having problems my feet trying to find the right running shoe so I didn’t get to work out as much. For what I wanna get from Keto is a lifestyle that doesn’t get boring with the food I don’t wanna feel guilty after eating something I wanna feel normal at the same time as enjoying like others do. I felt so good about myself that i was out there last night. And i know working out goes with this high fat food choice.
I have zero cravings (most of the time)that makes staying a lot easier…

That could be your problem right there.

And one more thing: remember that keto is carb restriction, not calorie restriction. If you eat protein and fat to satiety and keep your carbs low, you will be eating the ideal number of calories. Only your body knows the right number so don’t eat toward a specific number. Eat toward a specific result.

Ya but what if i have a eating disorder like i dont know if im full. Or the worst then that brain washed that i have to eat 1300 calories less
Becuase its like a dieters number
Im stressing because im seeking to follow someone on keto and so far its wrong. These people have many followers. Its too soon for me to know what is right and wrong. But i dont want to learn the hard way and get discouraged because its not working. So i appreciate this site to get to ask questions and get helpful feed back that supports me with advice that make sense.

Is this an issue for you?

I dieted for so many years that I didn’t know what a healthy amount of food looked like. I had thoughts of food constantly. I couldn’t distinguish hunger from cravings and I felt guilty eating anything at all, because in my mind fat people shouldn’t enjoy food.

If you make Keto your regular lifestyle, your mindset improves. You will stop thinking about food all the time. You will learn to recognize when you are hungry. It is the most freeing feeling in the world.

Until you get there, go to a site like ketogains and calculate your target macros and eat towards those — as a guide, only. 1300 might be enough calories for you one day, too many the next day and no where near enough on another.

I have never counted calories. I took to heart Dr. Phinney’s advice to cut the carbohydrate and fill in with fat to satiety. The result has been fascinating. After a period of eating quite a bit, in which my portion sizes continued unchanged from my high-carb days, suddenly I found out what satiety truly feels like.

The key is to get insulin low enough to stop blocking the hormonal signal from the fat tissue to the brain that there is plenty of energy on board. Once insulin stops blocking this signal, the resulting sense of being content with a certain amount of food becomes very strong. I have found that my satiety signal has only gotten stronger since that first experience of it.

Limit carbs and stop eating when full. Don’t count calories. If you do you will likely start limiting fat intake which will affect other things.

Now stop messing with with anything in a panic and give it time. I am talking months here. After several months have gone by you should be fat adapted and can than start playing around with IF, EF or calories if needed.
