This is definitely my style!
Without Carbs you will die. Sugar is an essential nutrient. You need 53 essential nutrients
Iâll do me, and they can do them.
Itâs not my job to educate them but to become the best version of me that I possibly can become.
That is within my control as I have control over me and the choices I make. I do not have control over the actions or choices of others, so to me itâs as pointless as preaching to or trying to control the weather.
Wow - I must be dead then. Iâve been doing this for two and half years.
Maybe thatâs why I weigh so much less - Iâm actually a ghost
I died quite some time ago alsoâŚ
Anyone who calls sugar an essential nutrient has trouble with rational thinking. The arguments against sugar being essential are too numerous to list!
The brain can run partly on ketones, but does still require some glucose, which the liver can supply.
Youâd have gotten more respect (or at least less attack) if youâd announced your conversion to a little known religious group. Its very telling how people react when we create cognitive dissonance by stating claims that donât fit the food religionâs orthodoxy. Keto On!
Itâs easy to keep your composure when youâve done the research and know that youâre rightâŚ
Isnât that a bit rich? 2cents? It barely rates a cent and thatâs one that has been run over by a fleet of Kenwood trucks so that you can no longer tell denomination
Makes no difference what your composure is or what you know when your talking to a brain dead ignorant moron that doesnât care about stupid things like fact, research, what their own eyes see or common sense for that. Iâve been eating this way for almost a decade most of the time and although I donât know everything I know enough to take down most naysayers IF they have their brain turned on for the conversation and if their willing to entertain the fact that their just repeating what theyâve heard, usually doesnât go down like that.
Usually goes more like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DYKScQ3gn2I
YesâŚwellâŚas Twain once said, âNever argue with stupid people⌠they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.â I stand by what I saidâŚyou need to do some serious research using reputable sources. 53 âessential nutrientsâ that you put into your body, huh⌠Depends upon whoâs behind creating that list of âessentialâ nutrients, and who backed/paid for the research, and who was on the panel that made that determination. I wonât be responding to anything else you feel the need to add. I have better things to do!
âWhen you attempt to convince a fool, you prove there are two.â Congratulations to you on your progress.
As good an argument against having neighbors as Iâve ever seen. I have few and donât really talk to them. Privacy is the best policy, IMHO.
This is a very hard thing for people to wrap their heads around. I am neither obese nor diabetic but when I found this out it was mind-blowing and goes against so much of what people are told.
I understand that concept, @brenda; however, what about a case such as my 25-year-old son who is obese at 325ish pounds but not diabetic and not prediabetic either as per recent labs? I think itâs a ying and yang sort of thing that can go both ways. Thoughts?
Iâd be curious if heâs had his fasting insulin levels checked. That can show thereâs a problem years before the blood sugar level rises.
Simple. Heâs insulin resistant. It just hasnât reached a point where it alerts the medical professionals based on their cut-offs on their charts. Have him have his fasting insulin checked. The fact of the matter is, no matter who you are if you have have excess body fat in your body cannot access it to burn for fuel because your insulin is high you will continue to pack on the pounds. The sad part is many times people that are very overweight are also always very hungry because they canât access the fuel they need. Itâs a vicious cycle. Doesnât matter to me how overweight anyone is, because I know that they donât do it on purpose.
