After just having oven roasted belly pork with garlic, paprika and chilli, I think I may need to change up my favourites list⦠itās a tight run thing though!
What's your favorite meal, and why? I really want to know! š
Iāve been eating a lot of bacon and eggs but making it in a way different from most. About 1/4" cup of water in a ceramic saute pan on very low heat, add dried herbs and seasonings, add diced bacon ends, cover and let sit a few minutes while cleaning/chopping vegetables such as cabbage, squash, mushrooms or onions, add veg and let cook a few more minutes, stir in other seasonings such as a splash of hot sauce, mustard and/or salt, top with eggs and a glass lid so I can check the eggs which slowly steam at a very low simmer, typically about 8 minutes to set the whites and just begin to gel the yolks, then I gently tip the pan holding back the food so the remaining couple ounces of water and melted bacon fat collect and I sprinkle in a tiny amount of coconut flour to slightly thicken it. When all goes well I can slide everything out on to a plate with a nice presentation, bacon veg stew with sunny side up eggs on top with a little sauce poured over. And an empty ceramic pan that needs little more than a splash of water to clean and put away.
No need for fond memories, itās keto friendly and I ate it a couple of times in the last month! Zero carb heaven! King crab legs are bigger and more expensive, snow crab legs taste the best, naturally sweet.
I live in a small island community of farmers, retirees, and alternative lifestylists. Meat eaters vs. vegans (not necessarily in that order). At one event, the pulled-pork lady had a big sign: Carnivore Lunch.
Youād be most welcome at the potlucks, Darren!
My kind of lady. I bet having a drink or two in this mixed diet crowd is fun.
Sushi! Mostly sashimi with some maki and the pork belly skewers they make at my fav placeā¦
I could live on the shashimi & pork belly⦠drool
Close runner up would be a ginormus ribeye or tomahawk steak⦠with marrow bone butter & chimichurri
except now you are keto, so your body wonāt let you eat more just because you canā¦
IKR? I was saying the other day that even after six months, weāre STILL leaving food on the plate because we havenāt adjusted our cooking/plating expectations correctly. Itās getting better, but man, it looks like so little on the plate compared to last year
I am now using the plan of serving myself, then putting 1/2 back. still feeling bloated after every meal. And I been doing this 15 months already.
Hmm⦠its a toss up
Pre Keto it was Cerealā¦
Current Keto i rotate between favorites

- Thick Crust BbQ chicken pizza
-Europian Sausages with side of cucumbers and home ranch dip - Keto nutella and pork rinds.
Dinner at Fogo de Chao Brazilian steakhouse. A quick trip to the salad bar to get a caesar plus some high quality hard cheeses. Then card turned to green. Bring on the filet please! Beef rib? Oh sure. How about bacon wrapped whatever the gaucho is offering? You betcha!
Heather, I kid you not, one of my most favorite activities was to get up on a Saturday morning, before everyone else, pour a huge bowl of cereal, and watch TV and eat my cereal.
Weād buy the big generic bags at Walmart. These were a couple of my favorite:
The very Christmas, before we started keto, Lisa bought me a cereal bowl, just for me.
Hereās one with the spoon and from the side for comparison.
It was big. I could probably only eat two bowls full.
Yeah, I loved cereal! Donāt even miss it now.
Never heard of this. It sounds good!
Oh, Iāve never eaten there. Iām so jealous!
I really want to try it sometime.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, I never got to use this bowl.
