What did you Keto today?

Pork belly tacos with a creamy cilantro/avocado/jalapeño sauce. I had them on butter lettuce and my husband used low carb tortillas. Even my kids liked them! I mostly used this recipe except I cooked the pork belly in the oven.

Tonight’s burger special is a 1/2 lb of grass fed beef, a healthy slather of mayo, 2 slices of dubliner cheese, grilled onions and no regrets!

(Mike W.) #1282

Did you post this recipe anywhere? Looks awesome!

Carlshead Tostadas!!

I made the Carlshead pizza dough recipe minus spices because I was in a hurry. One recipe made 4 of the tostadas. Next time, I’ll try getting 6 out of them and try to get them a bit flatter. Made a great tostada, was easy to hold in my hand, and fold over. I ate two! Yum.

Keto BBQ. Salt, pepper and cajun spiced smoked ribs.
Well executed BBQ does not need BBQ sauce.

Recipe and instructions? Looks delish!

(Rein) #1293

You’re so right about the bbq sauce.

(Ernest) #1294

You know what I do for BBQ sauce? I slap anchovy butter all over the ribs!!!

(Aliesha Barnett) #1295

Can’t get enough of these as a snack at the moment!

(Ernest) #1296

Mix kosher salt, fresh cracked black pepper and Penzey’s cajun spice mix (careful, some cajun spice mixes already have salt). Apply to ribs at least a day before smoking. This allows the salt to penetrate deep.
smoke at 225-250 temp range until probe tender, a toothpick should go through like a hot knife through butter.

Check the ingredients. If they’re made with whey protein, you may want to use only in moderation, as whey can cause insulin spikes.

I love how on the game you guys are… thanks for the heads up, honestly appreciate it!

These are the ingredients?

Ingredients in there that I personally avoid: “protein blends” (sounds like a protein powder?), maltitol, vegetable fat/palm oil, soy protein isolate, soy lecithin, bulking agent, polydextrose, … and there’s a few other things in there I’d research.

Something to consider in moderation and possibly give up if you encounter a stall.
