Hahaha I had to do it, I’m waiting for people to notice, they must think: “she really loves her bacon and eggs” :joy:

Personally, I cross my fingers every time I upload a picture to the forum…praying my fat fingers didn’t click the wrong one :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

This is dinner tonight! It looks delicious

(MelissaH) #9705

@JustPeachy do you have a recipe for the curry cabbage? I love cabbage!

#9706

Learned a lesson today. I love Greek yogurt, it’s my “sweet” treat since I eat mostly meat. I noticed some on sale the other day and grabbed a container. The one I noticed was full fat and I assumed the whole box was so I just grabbed one with a good date and headed out.
This morning I made a bowl and something tasted off… just not right. I checked the date, it was ok, I thought maybe I had eaten or drank something that affected my taste but no. So I read the label, I had accidentally picked up non-fat yogurt. Luckily I had only had a little bit. That :poop: was DISGUSTING!
How do people eat that garbage, without the fat it just didn’t taste even remotely ok.
—turns out this was totally my fault for being in a hurry, I grabbed out of the wrong box. Oops.

I’m sorry I don’t. It’s one of those things that I’ve been doing for a while. I just throw stuff at the pan depending on what I have on hand. I slice the cabbage to about 1/4" and the same with about half of a medium, white onion. Last night I used my Buffalo Ghee from Trader Joe’s and started to saute with the onion for a few minutes then the cabbage on top. I used salt, curry powder, cumin, red chili flakes (or pickled jalapeno if I have it), coriander, sometimes paprika and black sesame seeds. Add about 1/4 - 1/2c. of water, put a lid on it and reduce the heat to med-low. let it go until it’s tender about 15-25mins. Turns out quite tasty depending on how you spice it up!

(MelissaH) #9708

Thanks Sophie! I’ll try it. I wish I had a Trader Joe’s near me. Buffalo Ghee? I’ll try making my own

(Blessed with butter ) #9709

Can you really eat this much. Yummy. Goodness I want to eat hat :grinning:

#9710

Haha… Yeah, well I don’t always. And most the time the pups get some. But I did just come off a 86 hr. fast. And when I’m not fasting, I usually only do OMAD (One meal a day). Besides, the Pickles, Olives, Yogurt and Deviled Eggs aren’t really that filling. Mostly the meats fill me up, and that’s what the pups prefer anyway.

(Sophie) #9711

You’re welcome! And don’t feel like the Lone Ranger, my nearest TJ’s is 1.5hrs drive from my door. :disappointed:

(MelissaH) #9712

Wow!

(Sophie) #9713

Needless to say, I stock up when I get up to the neck of the woods!

(Brandy) #9714

I don’t buy “Keto” food as a rule. I think they’re scammy and I’m not cooking challenged, so why bother? But beef jerky is another story entirely. Gawd, how I love it. My order arrived!

Indian Casino Buffet Keto: level expert.

Bacon, sausage patties, sausage links, Denver scramble, and the end cap of prime rib.

Can I say… jackpot?

(Ashley) #9717

After fasting 4.5 days, I had a feast day yesterday and very much enjoyed myself (Brazilian BBQ for dinner, perfect). I woke up today and didn’t feel hungry in the slightest so thought I’d just IF my way to dinner - planning either Chinese hot pot or smoke some meats.

Right at lunchtime I suddenly felt really hungry. I ate this - not the most beautiful of lunches but exactly what I was craving and disappeared quickly. Delicious prosciutto and a tin of sardines smothered in olive oil. Practically zero effort.

No bacon, otherwise it’s the same as always.

Love my mates, so supportive, stir fry beef & veg (left the peppers as they don’t agree with me) and cauli & herb “couscous”, and they checked this wasn’t too high carb for me.
