What did you Keto today?

(Eric - The patient needs to be patient!) #9200

Pan seared cod fish and wilted cabbage. :bacon: is life.

I’ll have a little HWC for more fat. My wife’s German heritage kicks in when we ask for Cabbage.

Yeah, definitely try to stay safe. They always predict the stalls since they’re so common when Hurricanes come upon land. Just hope it doesn’t as you mention, and it continues to peter out even more and weaken as much as possible. And even though they are predicting the bounce-back up East Coast, it’s still all a guessing game until it actually decides what it wants to do. All you can do prepare for it the best you can.

Haven’t gotten sick of this yet.

(TJ Borden) #9203

That’s become one of my main go-tos after seeing you make it all the time.

I pretty pessimistic with the media. Weather casters especially in the last few years seem to me to have become fear mongers. To be fair, they really are in a pickle. Trying to predict chaos, with any certainty. So I’m not at all amazed that they predict it to be a lot worse than it is. Better to err on the side of “run for you lives! The sky is falling!” Than to say, “by the time it gets to here, it will begin to run out of energy, and begin to die fairly quickly.”

When the weathman is wrong, and people get hurt or die based on his fortune telling, it’s a horrible thing. If he predicts disaster and it never comes, then it’s, “whew, we dodged a bullet there.”

But having said that, they tend to ignore the data that might say things are getting better, or show the science how a hurricane acts as it runs over land.

I had my mom call me today from Indiana, saying she heard on the news that “Ft Bragg was going to be hit by a category 3 hurricane.” I had to ensure her that at worst we would get some tropical storm winds. Maybe some tornadoes. A slight chance at some flooding. But from what I could see watching the weather channel pretty much all friking day was “we might get some thunderstorms. We just need to wait and see. Either way I’m not worried mom, so don’t fret. :cowboy_hat_face:

Thank you sir. I’m planning on making this for my girlfriends birthday

(Kirk) #9209

Bacon cheesburgers. Grass fed beef from a local farm, buns are lettuce picked fresh from my garden

My new favorite thing. Frittatas at work. I bring in eggs. Microwave for 30 secs at a time. Add coconut oil, which I can keep at my desk. I found some crusted red pepper packets leftover from a meeting with pizza. Got some smoked salt from a friend. I had some cheddar crumbled in as well. I may bring in some veggies and meat. But it’s nice I can make a simple, cheap meal that feel like a luxury.

#9211

We had flatbread pizzas. One had pepperoni (underneath the cheese) and leftover steak and the other had mushrooms, onions, olives and scallions.

Question for the sous vide aficionados.

Is it possible to start eggs in the morning and leave them in all day? If I have a fancy version that lets me set timers?

(Doug) #9213

Not sure, Lonnie. Today’s message from inside a fortune cookie:

#9214

Those look so delicious!
What recipe did you use for the crust?

(Amy Ramadan) #9215

These look amazing!! What did you use for the base of the pizzas?

#9216

I use this crust recipe. I add garlic and onion salts just to lose some of the sweetness from the flours. I also cook it for 4-5 mins per side on my flat top. We like it a bit crunchy and doesn’t get soggy from the sauce. This is our favorite pizza crust recipe, hands down.

(Amy Ramadan) #9217

Thanks!! Can’t wait to try it!!

(Wendy) #9218
