I can totally relate to this I do like chicken hearts though so this is a great substitute in my mind.
What did you Keto today?
I had about 2 pounds of it last night and was reminded this morning of the penalty for eating fat PAST satiety.
Leftover bbq hamburger party topped with smoked havarti and fried egg and green Tabasco sauce. Wish I had mushrooms or avocado, but no.
Sure!! Let me retrace my steps, I never really do recipes. My kitchen is like an episode of Chopped everyday.
Grilled Top sirloin(London broil). It’s well done, for my wife. ( I like it rare, med rare) it’s drenched with melted butter with two sides. Bacon Cesar Salad and an American Style Boubon on the rocks
the salad is all gone, but it’s time for another side!!
Bad pic of delicious “pretzel salad” with the crust made from nuts. I didn’t make this. @JonS did.

My sweet cousin, who is my number one keto convert, is having her birthday tomorrow, so I thought I’d take her the Mile High Cheesecake for the event!
Playing catch up, this is from the other night…
Salt crusted sea bass done on the bbbq and served with a large salad fresh & sundried tomatoes, feta, black & queen olives, avocado, drech de lorenza(sp?, cured porky stuff sliced thin) and a olive oil and 4 type basil dressing.
Prepping…
On the bbq
Need a bigger plate…
Tonight it was filet steak, cheesy baked califlower and bacon fried green beans and mushrooms with pine nuts and garlic. (And tons of bacon fat and butter!)
Lunch part 2, fat trimmings from a butcher shop. This was preceded by a nice piece of calf liver cooked in ghee (and a bit more fat trimmings).
Supper!
This one was easy! Lazy Saturday afternoon sitting on the back deck… 1kg of fatty bacon (on sale cheap), 750g frozen brussel sprouts, 350g of frozen asparagus (both bought when on sale), a good tablespoon of salt, plenty of pepper, a glug or two of olive oil. Toss chopped up bacon into roaster oven on bust for about 45 mins - stirring occasionally until crispy. Throw into bacon swimming in its own fat, chopped up brussel sprouts then the asparagus, then everything else and let it roast until done to taste.
Et voila! 1.2Kg of super nutrient snack/meal side. I could only manage about 10 heaped teaspoons before I was stuffed! This’ll make lunch and snacks for the next couple of weeks.
