I do a lot of horseradish cream personally. Half sour cream and half hot horseradish. Fave!

Edited to add: My Great Value dijon doesn’t have carbs/sugar. I’ve never tried Annies, but if it’s a superior flavor I’d be willing!

Bit of a failed experiment with the Jicama fries today (I’ll eventually get them right).
Had a basic salad, then some nice hot italian sausage off the grill. Then par-boiled (10 mins), then par-fried (5 mins), then final fried (~3 mins) some Jicama fries. (pelted them with Cajun spice and salt).


Except for the smallest fries, these were still veggie-like crunchy. :frowning: Good flavouring though. The slender ones were very potato-esque. :slight_smile:
Going to increase the parboil for the next batch up to 20 minutes I’m thinking…hell…maybe 30 if I don’t see any signs of them starting to fall apart. :slight_smile:

I like it a lot. Does it taste like the bottle ranch? probably not but I’ve never liked the bottle stuff. I usually keep adding dill until it tastes more like ranch, which is really mostly mayo anyway. I will say, when you taste it from the bowl, dont worry too much. chill it for a few hours, something magical happens after the melding.

I saw these sliced oxtail pieces at the store and immediately got an idea. Sous vide these babies then sear.

Steak and eggs, no. More like tail and eggs.

Made a chicken bacon alfredo.
Chop up bacon and cook in skillet until crispy.
Remove bacon from pan.
Cube chicken and cook in the bacon grease, add some cracked pepper and garlic salt, cook until done.
Add bacon back to pan.
Add hefty splash of heavy cream to skillet and stir to combine with fond from pan. Sauce will thicken as it is heated.
Pour into a bowl or plate and enjoy!
