What did you Keto today?

You should copy (or at least link) this into the recipes topic! YUM.

(TJ Borden) #6377

Apps for dinner. @carl’s chicken skin chorizo rolls and bacon wrapped stuffed jalapeños.

(Sophie) #6378

Awww pashaw! Don’t make me blush.

(Ernest) #6379

Yep!! And that’s why I prefer to cook at home. I don’t like restaurants at all.

(Ernest) #6380

Kobe beef or wagyu, no less than 40/lbs.

(Candy Lind) #6381

I’ve never seen one “in person.” My regular grocery doesn’t have any. Guess I’ll have to go down to Central Market and “window shop.”

Everything looks great!

Post workout ham, eggs and GREENS!

(Joanna) #6384

Bacon, spinach, and cheddar omelette

Today’s breakfast: 2 scoops of Vanilla whey protein and 1/3 of a cup of liquid coconut oil

The whey protein:
https://www.costco.ca/LeanFit®-Whey-Protein-Shake---Natural-Vanilla.product.100092236.html

And the coconut oil is something like this:

And by my calculations:

  • 790 Calories
  • 76g fat
  • 4g carbs
  • 50g protein

The added coconut oil really helps with satiety and thickness of the shake.

Actually Sam’s club now carries kobe beef. If your club has a special sushi/ fresh fish section.
They built a special section at my club. That’s where I got this one. 5 bucks lower than central market

Do you have to buy in bulk?

(Candy Lind) #6388

Not necessarily - but you can get case prices that are pretty good if you have freezer space.

(Steve) #6389

Should we share our failures as well as our successes?
Made onion bagels for the first time (I’ve now discovered that my baking powder expired 9 years ago). Heh
Ok, yes, before going Keto I really didn’t bake all that much…guilty.
Based on the recipe on wholesomeyum.com. Next time I’m going to cut down to one egg and double my dehydrated onion to 2T. Hopefully that nails it. (these were too eggy - the onion flavour really didn’t come through).

Edit: They’ll still get used up in some breakfast sandwiches.

(Ernest) #6390

Not at all. You pick your victim and they will wrap it for you.

(Ernest) #6391

For those that are fasting, my sincere apologies for what you’re about see…

Love the wusthof!!!

(TJ Borden) #6393

If the Central Market we have in the PNW is the same as everywhere else l, that statement is true for just about everything.

That bell pepper? $1 at Safeway, $6 at central market.

(TJ Borden) #6394

That is one of the sexiest pieces of meat I’ve ever seen.

(Ellen) #6395

Ye gods! That looks fucking lush! Food porn at it’s finest.
