Your steaks always look so beautiful - have you shared your cooking method anywhere? I have a ribeye that needs some love.
What did you Keto today?
Did you just deglaze, sautĆ© garlic & add everything else? I love capers but havenāt done much with them myself, so I donāt know if itās better to simmer them for a while or just dump them in at the end.
PS Your pic was fine - my mouth is watering!
How big a piece of pork belly can you do, in what size IP? Iāve been wanting to get pork belly but was unsure what I could do with it besides oven bake.
I have the 6 quart instant pot and I am going to guess itās a 4 lb pork belly or so - depends on thickness - it covered the bottom. I may try to stack two of them and extend the time by a bit. If I experiment Iāll let you know.

Big 200g can of (Costco) boneless Sardine fillets in oil. -Drained the sunflower oil.
160g mixed lettuce/spinach
6 garlic stuffed Costco Olives - removed garlic. (Prefer fresh)
1 plum tomato. (125g)
2 fresh garlic cloves
60ml Costco Toscano EVOO
20ml Balsamic (2nc/15ml)
You do know you can cube it up and fit several pounds in a medium Instant Pot, right?
I was just thinking Iād like longish slices, but yes, I could cube it up like I do with shoulder roast.
I really donāt do anything special.
- heat cast iron pan (to the point just before your butter or bacon juice start to smoke.
- Season steak with your seasoned salt of choice and pepperā¦Rub it in.
- Pan fry for 4 minās per side. This is based on a 3/4" (19.05mm) thk chuck or ribeye steak.
- when it comes out of the pan, add Kerrygold.
- Enjoy
Very simple
Pretty much. Iām sure thereās a better/more gourmet way of doing it. There was still plenty of juice in the pan so I added the garlic and cream, reduced it, added some xanthem gum and capers, let it simmer for a bit and poured it over the chicken. It was pretty tasty
