What did you Keto today?

It’s that bottled Franks Buffalo wing sauce. Nothing special, but I add a couple of drops of ghost pepper extract.

Rusty,
I just can’t help myself… every time I see one of your posts in foods, that old Dr Pepper jingle starts running through my head. " I’m a pepper, you’re a pepper, wouldn’t you like to be a Pepper too" !:wink::wink: You do love your peppers! Do you grow any?

(*Rusty* Instagram: @Rustyk61) #4399

Sadly, I don’t. I live in an apartment. I have tried to grow some in a pot with soil, but I didn’t have any luck. I’ve been eating peppers since I was in grade school.

I grew Cuban peppers in a pot once but it was for the dog who kept eating my potted plants! Yes, he ate it and hasn’t touched a potted plant since! Lol I love most peppers too but I’m definitely not in your league. Lol

Epic right? Pun intended. I ate three bags of the salt and pepper ones in a week. They are a tad pricey so I wish I could ration them better but they’re excellent! Best “crunch” I’ve found since going keto.

I like it! Did the one with almond flour but the one with coconut flour works well also. I saw the recipes on headbanger’s kitchen. It would be nice to have a chewy texture (it’s quite crumbly), but the recipe for keto naan is chewy so that’s a go-to for me as well. Are you a fan of the 90-second breads?

(Joanna) #4403

That looks delicious! I cheat and use Trader Joe’s frozen riced cauliflower. There’s very little water in it. I’ve heard that, when doing it from scratch, the best way is to use towels to drain, but maybe it’s not necessary?

AUSTIN!? Name, please! I LIVE in Austin!

Troubleshooting some skin conditions. Switching to iced coffee and seeing positive results.

It has been treat-heavy because yesterday was my birthday.

I had a keto vanilla mug cake topped with whipped HWC and a handful (quarter cup? half cup?) of strawberry slices.

Early in the day, I had a slice of cream cheese pound cake my wife made the night before. Also topped with whipped cream.

In response, my breathalyzer gave me the highest ketone readings I’ve ever had (well, highest %BAC). 0.74 % Off the charts. I ordinarily get 0.55 to 0.65.

I clearly need to eat more whipped cream.

I’ve been trying to cook fancier. So I sous vide this ribeye and had it with what I’m calling a deconstructed bearnaise sauce…because I was too lazy to make an actual bearnaise.

(Sybella) #4408

yum, I really like liver. A really good way to get vitamin A.

Had a stroke of inspiration and made keto Shepard’s pie. Filling is cauliflower stalks, jalapenos, ground beef, bacon pieces, onion, brussel sprouts, chicken broth, garlic, green onions, can of tomatoes, and spices. Topping is cauliflower mash made with cream cheese and more jalapenos. All topped with white cheddar and bacon crumbles.
