Damn right.
What did you Keto today?
In honor of National Bacon Day (every day is Wood Family Bacon Day) I made some peppercorn bacon wrapped Brussels Sprouts.
The pic doesnât do them justice, they were tasty.
Wow, is that chocolate under the butter ? I plan on doing that with pate tonight !
Itâs genius! Put them in the crockpot on low and go to bed. You wake up to the smell of roasting beef
I canât believe I missed national Bacon Day! I was planning a huge celebration, but thereâs this little party called New Year Eve that over-shadowed it again!
As most of yâall may or may not know, I was born 'n raised in the deep South (USA) which is steeped in tradition and superstition. As part of my upbringing, I was taught that whatever you do on New Years Day you are destined to repeat throughout the year. With that in mind, I always make sure to have my house cleaned , meals cooked, etc. before Jan 1st. New Years for me is a day of total leisure and playing in my studio or traveling if that happens to be my thingâŚwhatever I want to keep doing for the next year! Needless to say, I donât do any work of any kind, 'cos Iâm lazy like that.
The New Years Day meal is very important too because it seals the deal for your good luck in the next year! Itâs a very hammy holiday for us as well as being uber superstitious. There is baked ham (keto), of course. Collard greens with smoked ham hock (keto) to represent your greenbacks for the upcoming yr., topped with hot pepper vinegar (keto) to add some spice to your life and corn bread (Keto & never sweetened!) to sop up all that pot liquor. Blackeyed peas (representing pennies) over rice with Hoppin John is to make sure you always have some extra pocket change.
Now I know that the rice and peas arenât Keto friendly but Iâll be damned if Iâm going to risk my Good Luck for the next year so screw it. Besides, you wonât see me pissin & moanin on this forum that I overdid it on the holiday foodâŚIâm kind of Southern that way. So Happy New Years Yâall and All the Best for your new beginning!
New Yearâs eve feast⌠bacon wrapped pickles, asparagus, zucchini and Brussels sprouts. Meat and cheese. Veggies. Chicken wings. All with delicious ranch dip!
Happy New Year everyone!
First holiday season with weight lossâŚKCKO
Not sure what to call it, but had a lot of bratwurst cooked with bacon, jalapenos, garlic, onion, asparagus and sauerkraut thrown in at the end.
Iâm starting off the new year with a big plate of the worldâs most perfect food⌠!!!
One of the benefits of my lovely wife baking a Christmas Pavlova is that I get to make an 8-yolk omlette.
Simple lunch. Cooked, sliced chicken breast topped with fresh mozzarella cheese, sweet bell pepper, basil, and red pepper flakes all toasted in the toaster oven until melty.
