My family might be seeing how yummy my Keto food is… (fingers crossed).

I chopped up some cabbage, bok choy, spinach, broccoli, cauliflower and zucchini and 6 left over big Costco sausages I had my hubby bbq last night and threw it all in a big frying pan with olive oil and knew it was way too much for just me (was going to save the rest). First my 18 year old asked if she could have some for supper, I said sure, so she got a plate for her and her friend.

Hubby had a large frozen pizza from Costco (Mike’s Deluxe). They are big so he already ate a lot. My daughter came back in(they are sitting in the backyard, my daughter has a friend over). She said mom dad wants some too, so he ate up the rest, a supper meal’s worth. I want him to do Keto but not on top of another full meal… kind of defeats the purpose.

At least that is all my daughter is having for supper though.

Broke my Fast with some Rotisserie Chicken, after shopping directly after work. Too hot and too late to cook tonight. … 1/2 Rotisserie Chicken, Pepperoni, Olives, Pickles and some Cherry Tomatoes from the Garden. And then drank a glass of Almond Milk. :yum:

Edit to add… The wife made me a small bowl of Strawberries and Chocolate in Greek Yogurt.

Brisket and collards!

(Jane) #1862

Clotted cream cooked overnight last night. Going to make hubby a vanilla mug cake and slather some of this on it. I add fresh grated nutmeg and cardamom to my mug cakes. Yum.

My son went out kayaking with a group today. He texts me afterwards and says he’s starving. I told him I had a huge salad (with chicken and cheese and olives, etc. You couldn’t even see the lettuce!) And sliced deli meat. He says he’s gonna stop at Taco Bell first and then eat what’s waiting for him at home.

I’m like, “Dude, how you gonna say you’re keto and then eat at Taco Bell?” He says he’s been strict keto for 3 days and he can “afford the carbs”! I had to explain to him that it doesn’t work like that!

He agreed he wouldn’t stop at Taco Bell but I don’t know if I believe him, lol.

Back on topic… I made GingerAde today! I don’t know how common this is; for all I know my son invented it, but he told me to slice lemons, onions, and raw ginger very thin, pour boiling water over it and let it steep for two days. So I did it! Supposed to be good for energy and also immune system.

Not sure if it’s considered keto, but whatever

Keto mug cake with clotted cream. I had one small bite - not much of a dessert person.

(Diane) #1866

I’m really gonna need a report on this concoction. Please.

(JJ) #1867

Ha ha Love it. Just don’t go getting your whiteboard marker out  Looks delish

Speaking of Dr. Berg, I rather like him, but I know he sells wheat grass supplements. Having listened to Dr. Gundry I understand that wheat grass is not really something that we should be eating.

(Brennan) #1869

I will have to try that after my current EF! That sounds delicious!
I often grab pizza pepperoni slices and spread brie on those as a cracker replacement.
