What Did You Keto Today? The Trilogy!

I got the Bai coconut and watermelon.

They are high in the carbs for me so I’ve been using a splash in my water as I dislike the flavor of water.

Those are refreshing!

Oh gosh, that sounds really oily. Don’t know if I could drink that. I’ve tasted a bite of salted cold butter and it was “swallowable” (is that a word?), but I can’t even bring myself to eat a spoonful of coconut oil. It’s like I can’t get that slick sensation out of my mouth afterwards, and I really dislike it. I see people talking about oil pulling and I shudder

@Shortstuff

What about trying some Almond milk? I just bought some Creamy Cashew unsweetened SILK milk.

(Allie) #1470

It wasn’t oily at all as I blended it, but certainly not as nice as with cream added. Maybe just a case of adapting to the taste…

(Allie) #1471

I’ve tried them before but never really liked them tbh. Used to make my own almond milk back in the day… maybe I’ll give it another try if I can’t get used to the coffee as it is

(Jill Carpenter aka space coast spinster) #1472

I use a braun hand blender and it’ll foam up like a latte. I don’t even realize the oils, but yeah, first time I made a bpc I didn’t know what to expect.

#1473

I accidentally made a foamy coffee once. I read a tip on here to pour some coffee into a nearly empty HWC container, to get ALL the HWC goodness out. Well, I shook it probably harder than I needed to, and when I poured it back into my mug it came out somewhat foamy. I was like “whoa!” So I poured it back into the container and shook the everloving crap out of it, and poured out a beautiful foamy latte-like coffee. That was a very good day, lol. I should use a mason jar and do it every day.

#1474

Hahahaha. Actually it is more about being way too lazy to cut out with cutter and then re roll! But I like your explanation better

#1475

Yeah, but they do use Erythritol as the sweetener, so it’s not as bad.

(Jill Carpenter aka space coast spinster) #1476

Coffee has some wonderful benefits!
You always ‘could’ consider going decaf.
Caffeine is typically the concern with the blood sugar spikes.
They do make "half n half " coffee that has half the caffeine and may make for an easier transitioning.
Personally, I’m a two cup person but I’m now feeling quite satisfied on one cup. I love the flavor and that morning ritual thing.

But you’re doing this trip longer than me this time around so not sure what your goal is.

(Jill Carpenter aka space coast spinster) #1477

That stuff is nasty to me personally, but no judgement on who likes it🤣

#1478

That’s a good idea, except I’m not too worried about the caffeine. Due to genetics, I’m an Ultra Rapid Metabolizer of caffeine. In other words, it’s excreted before it even has a chance to build up in my blood. I just like the tradition and ritual of it. I could totally stop this minute without any physical effects.

Plus, I’ve learned to love sucking on pink salt with a swallow of coffee. Helps me keep up my electrolytes.

It’s really the cream I need to cut back on, at least while fasting. I’ve officially given up artificial sweeteners, so maybe I’ll address the cream addiction next

Dollar tree has pink salt where I live!

I’m on the fence with sea salt as they say the plastic is leaching in at this point.

But no reason to suspect hymilian salt at this point.

#1481

No Dollar Tree here, but do have a Dollar General. I should check if they sell it.

(Diane) #1482

Chili and hotdogs and cheese… Oh My!

('Jackie P') #1483

You can buy a coffee frother at Amazon, but shaking the crap out of it sounds more fun!

Damn garden ran dinner late… Pickles, Olives, Brussel Sprouts, Top Sirloin Steak and Salmon with fresh Lemon Balm picked out of the garden tonight.

Blackened Sousvide 21oz. Porterhouse

I took advantage of the awesome beef prices as stores gear up for the Fourth of July, I got two humongous Angus Porterhouses @ $7.49 lb. I’m eating the small one first. Joining the Big Boy’s Club of which @Digital_Dave and @Jody22 are charter members, if I get approved that is.

:cowboy_hat_face:

(I might have eaten some delicious Giardiniera too!)
