Hillshire Farms Turkey Kielbasa label (difficult to find an ingredient list on line

It’s pretty much everywhere in processed meats that aren’t a whole intact chunk if you’re looking for it. :cowboy_hat_face:

No I keep thinking about it, but I have a kitchen full of stuff I don’t use! Used my instant pot for a year and now rarely do. (Hoping you will reignite my enthusiasm)!
Bought an all singing all dancing microwave/combi oven and just use it for heating up soup! Gave away a nearly new air fryer as I only used it a few times for making chips at midnight (pre Keto of course)! So even though I am tempted, they are expensive and I’m still thinking on it!:face_with_monocle:

I got mine for $69 three years ago and use it a few times per week sometimes. No bells and whistles necessary! :cowboy_hat_face:

('Jackie P') #1108

Is it a whole water bath or one that works in a saucepan?

(Full Metal KETO AF) #1109

Bacon and Eggs

I did a six pound sousvide batch, and froze two blocks precooked.

Sousvide Bacon sliced thick, Eggs Scrambled in broken Harissa Avocado Oil Mayo with Muenster Cheese.

PRO KETO COOKING TIP: Don’t throw out your expensive avocado oil mayo, store bought or homemade if it breaks. It’s great for sautés or Scrambling Eggs or frying meat. :man_cook:t3:

It is super difficult to find those items without any potentially problematic ingredients…

I think these are the closest I have found myself, got them at Sam’s Club, I actually chose them because they don’t have paprika (allergic), and only 1 carb per link

(Full Metal KETO AF) #1111

@CrackerJax I use a pod, the water bath variety are limited and bulky. :man_cook:t3:

(Full Metal KETO AF) #1112

@BeStill , but it contains sugar, is that really better? Personally I don’t sweat where 1-2 carbs a day come from. :cowboy_hat_face:

#1113

Not better, but I was thinking less sugar/carbs that is until I stared at the nutrition info again…it’s at least 2 carbs per link as the links must be about 4 oz and serving size is 2 oz - how rude lol!!! I was fasting when I bought these, seeing a pattern here where my thinking is not so bright during fasts :upside_down_face:

(Full Metal KETO AF) #1114

Yup, that’s how the bastards get you! Who eats half a link? If that were a thing they’d make a killing off of tiny sausages. :cowboy_hat_face:

('Jackie P') #1115

I have to say, the more I dither the more the prices are dropping! So I’m sure I will get there in the end!

(Susan) #1116

Does anyone know if the bags of “Breakfast Sausages” that they sell in Walmart in a plastic bag, naming them that, are Keto friendly? I buy them but haven’t cooked any since Keto, and am just wondering now.

(Full Metal KETO AF) #1117

@Momof5 You have to read the labels, an important KETO survival skill. :cowboy_hat_face:

(Jody) #1118

I get those from Costco as well.

(Jody) #1119

Look at me remembering to get a lunch picture!

Wednesday Lunch:

1 lb 73% / 27% homemade burger patties

(Susan) #1120

Okay, thanks David (and yes I always have my glasses on when shopping to read all the labels =) I was just curious if maybe people knew already, me being lazy!)

Those burgers look yummy, Jody, enjoy!

I totally just realised there’s a pair of knickers and a foot in the background of my photo! :joy::joy::joy::joy:

Oh, you’re absolutely right about it being everywhere. Fact is, you’re hard pressed to find anything processed that doesn’t have something of the like in there. Like my Wife just found out recently that there is Dextrose in the Salt & Pepper Pork Rinds she started really liking here recently. (Or it was Maltodextrin? - It was one of those?) Told her the same, that it’s not a whole lot in there overall, but just don’t be eating them too often. I get it in my canned stuff I carry to work, but also don’t eat it every day, so I too don’t worry too much about it. As long as I’m not consuming too much in everything. (But I do still try to purchase things that don’t have it.) … Well, she actually just read my comment above, and called me at my work to say it was the Maltodextrin.
