That looks fabulous!!!
What Did You Keto Today? The Trilogy!
Day two of the “totally keto” visit from the MIL. She started to unravel a bit today- but we’ll see how the weekend goes. She did love the peanut butter ice cream I made for her though.
They are the deloping egg yolks! They are supposed to be especially nutritious.
@Jody22, you seem to like raw. My mom used to make steak Tartare at least once a month. She picked fresh steaks at the butcher and had him run the meat through the grinder at least 3 times, until very finely ground. She added a raw egg, some finely chopped onion and parsley, salt and pepper and kneaded it until even in distribution and consistency. It was heavenly, we all looked forward to it.
Hotel breakfast!
Can’t mess with that (smidge of mayo might be a bit dodge!)
Lunch …mmmmm… bit disappointing, beef with salad and a crazy mound of onions!
That I dispensed of!
@Jody22 Raw beef is one thing but eating raw chicken livers? You’re much braver than I am! I would be afraid of getting ill from that taste and texture aside.
More birthday celebrations for my mum today…which means I’ve spent the extra day of 2020 the best way I know how…sitting on my arse with a glass of wine in my hand this was my dinner this evening. Now I’m full and happy and ready for bed!
First thing in the morning I had a bulletproof coffee with grass fed butter and MCT oil.
For breakfast, I had a two eggs with three strips of bacon.
Right after my first meal I take my vitamin stack for the day.
For dinner, I had baby back ribs and one whole avocado
One hour before bedtime I will have Braggs apple cider vinegar with the mothers.
Easy and simple keto meals that hit the spot.
2 steak and mince burgers, with red mozzarella, red onion, a bit of lettuce, and a fried egg in the middle. So filling- I think I’ve died.
Somewhere back on the list, I did something similar. I separated the whites from the yolks. Cooked the whites, then set the raw ground meat on top, then topped with the raw egg yolks. (the fast method). I LOVE the combination of raw yolks and raw meat.
The taste is AMAZING and the texture is fine (to me). Just to add to the “excitement”, my butcher has been out of chicken liver so these have been just store bought. It might catch up to me one day, but for now. … Lol
There was something strangely visceral about eating steak Tartare. It made you greedy for more, and it hit a spot nothing else could. I suppose it wakes up some sort of innate instinct. After eating to full, a real satiety and satisfaction occurred that lasted a lot longer than Mom’s usual meals. I would definitely indulge today, but I just don’t trust the meat sources I can access. Or eggs for that matter. Back then, Mom got the eggs from Gramp’s chickens, and the butcher down the street let us know when he had a fresh slaughter…
Chicken livers - while I do like raw oysters, I can’t stand even thinking about the texture of raw chicken livers. Love them fried though.
Fabulous concert on our last night!
Last breakfast
We have been really good about not mentioning food. But I did detect a slight bristle from my friend as she ate her egg and tomato sandwich (with no butter) followed by 2 cakes!

Off to get our train to the airport!
My new creation. This morning I didn’t have time to make a fatty coffee. Only time for black coffee. But I still wanted my creamy sludge.
100ml cream
Two smallish eggs
1 tbsp coconut oil
Iodine drops
Sprinkle of lite salt.
5g gelatin
Why am I not losing more weight?
Anyway. I wanted it. So I added a can of soda water instead of putting it in more coffee.
SO GOOD!
Be warned, do this in a larger container than you think necessary. Lots of foam.
