Decided to do something I hadn’t done in ages… Broke my lunch down to actually eat something early, before heading out to a job-site to review. So plan on eating three meals today, which will probably be the first time I’ve done this in 2, 3 or even 4 or 5 years? Can’t even recall the last time I ate 3 meals.

Swiss Burger with Sour Cream, 3 Sausage Patties, Cheddar Cheese and Pepperoni. Also had a small piece of Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate and some Pecans.

Thanks, @KetoSnaps.
I’m glad the hospital has such a nice cafeteria, and open at 1:30am too

Aww no, poor you, I thought you were better. Sending you (((hugs))) and every good wish😘

I went out for lunch with a friend today.

She is giving keto a go🙂. We thought we would try the mixed grill. Frankly it was the muckiest meal I have had out to date. All the meat tasted of something horrible ?stale fat! I wasn’t really hungry enough to make a fuss, and I figure people eat this stuff all the time! My friend enjoyed it.
I did that anorexic thing of cutting it up and hiding it under the salad! A bit ruddy hard when you have a 4oz steak, gammon, chicken, 2 sausages and 2 eggs!

Monthly safety meeting today. Got the boss to order pizza pizza’s keto crust pizza for the 2 ketoers on site. Not bad for a dirty keto option at 2g net carbs per slice.

Ribeye and foal tenderloin, smth a little different.

@Meerkatsandy It looks like cutting the meat perked up your pup! :dog: I’ve never tasted horsey! :cowboy_hat_face:

Lunch from about 3 hrs ago… Might not get 3 in after-all? Swiss Burger w/ Pepperoni and Sour Cream, Sausage, Cottage Cheese, Greek Yogurt with Black Berries, Sauerkraut, Pepperoni, 1/2 Coconut Bai and an Almond Milk.

Yummy supper - spiced lamb/pork mince combo! We followed it with this lemon and lime cheesecake mousse. I just can’t handle what berries do to my blood glucose any more, so like chocolate I have kicked them to the kerb. Lemons - and limes - though, I’m VERY happy to indulge in!

CORRECTION: a square of high cocoa choc is just fine! But when I create a fatty dessert with it - BOOOOOOM!

('Jackie P') #8355

Look away @KetoSnaps. After my miserable lunch I ate an avocado and some fresh blackberry frankenfluff

Mmmm … soft focus in dimmed lights.

Looks yummy, @Crackerjax! LOVING that lake of cream! Sorry to hear your lunch was so pants.

And avocado - yummy - now there’s a fruit that doesn’t make me go :top::arrow_up::bangbang::chart_with_upwards_trend::rocket:

PS Just made blackcurrant flavoured FF for tomorrow and the weekend…

Steak and salad.
Tried a new salad dressing - roasted red pepper & chili vinaigrette, gets a little warm but it’s damn tasty!

2 roasted red peppers
1/2 C - ACV
4 - garlic cloves
Salt & pepper
1 1/2 C - oil blend (olive, almond & MCT)
1 tsp - red chili flakes

Blend till smooth.

Came home and cut up some Chicken Breast into cubes and Butter-Fried them with Garlic. Then added in Butter-Fried Mushrooms and 2 Italian Sausages, topped it off with Ragu Butter-Cheese Sauce. Also some Pepperoni, Cheddar Cheese and an Almond Milk.

(Brandy) #8359

Meatballs, marinara, mozzarella- and also cabbage.

In the Balkan world, we have a wonderful pepper salad with those sweet long red peppers.
Place them whole (with stem and seeds) on a baking tray, no oil or salt, and bake them in the oven at 180degrees C for about 30-45 min or until the skin starts to blacken. Take them out, transfer to a bowl and cover with a plate, foil, lid and let them cool. Once cooled, peel and remove the stem and seeds.
I like to slice them in strips, a few cloves of garlic, fresh parsley, EVOO, ACV and feta. Delicious

@David_Stilley yup, you gotta look alive in case something happens to fall off the table. If you ever make it across the pond, we will make it for you, if you do’t have a problem with horsies. It does taste a bit “sweeter,” like venison, but I can only taste the difference when prepared like a steak.

(Brennan) #8362

I will have to try that!

This photo is from 2 weeks ago but worth posting as I still think of that lunch!

Lobster salad with avocado, tomato and a side of l/c bread. The star of the show was the lobster!

This is yesterday’s lunch and was leftovers…

Chicken tacos with cheddar, shredded veg, cilantro sauce and a few dashes of tabasco. The soft shells were very easy to make and held up very well even the next day.
