What Did You Keto Today? The Trilogy!

('Jackie P') #5814

OMG I want that plate! I must have it!:heart_eyes: Is it old? Is it marked?
I did a night shift last night! Before I went I had a Chilli

I took to work some celery soup and a little pot of salamis and cubed gouda.

I am knackered this morning. I definitely made the right decision, also all the moaning and tension in the team started to get to me again.
It has made me realise how much more relaxed my life is! On a positive note, it was great to see everyone! I felt like a celebrity :star_struck:.
Also I printed off a label to send this bugger back!

It took me ages to clean it up after the last time. I’m not sure whether to send it back in this state? If I clean it up it looks pristine! There was no facility for me to load a photo!
Seems weird to be in bed on a Sunday am after a shift! But I’m going to make the most of this lazy day!

Massive scallops on the shell and Choppino (fisherman’s stew)

Oh blimey, bad luck!

I can recommend my Andrew James waffle maker - I’ve only ever once had a sticking issue, and that was a) only partial, not the whole waffle and b) only on the one occasion when I forgot to whizz the butter into my batter. It’s a good little piece of kit!

Rump steak and scrambled eggs!

Great breakfast, Clare! :+1:

Thank you! I had chocolate after! :see_no_evil:

Had this, now I’m :face_vomiting:. Bad oils no doubt

Dinner for 4

Balsamic bacon wrapped asparagus cooked in the air fryer
Sous vide beef tenderloin, crispy beef fat and creamy gravy
Cheesy caulimash casserole (no plating pictures)
Wedge salad with avocado and praline walnuts
Blueberry clafoutis with whipped cream
Our friends were blown away with the sous vide tenderloin and are going out to buy one.

('Jackie P') #5823

Wow! @Jamboribs that looks a fabulous feast!
How did you make your clafoutis?

Thank you! It is gorgeous, isn’t it? I worked for a food magazine for many years and our photo stylists would go to estate sales and purchase unique dinnerware to avoid using the same plates in our photos. Every six months we would have “prop sales” and sell everything to employees. I bought this one about ten years ago.

I have researched it and found it was made between 1920-1930. It was made by Hermann Ohme in Germany. The edge scallop shape is called “Elysee” but there were many patterns made with that shape. I have only found photos of a few other pieces - a biscuit jar, a teapot, and a cup and saucer. No other plates anywhere. The marking also says “Perruche” which I originally thought meant “parrot” perhaps because of the color of turquoise or blue but there are others with “Perruche” that are red and different patterns. I have been tempted on several occasions to donate my regular everyday matching plates from Target and only use beautiful, mismatched dinnerware. Starting with this plate.

That is a beautiful thing. I used to use mismatched china, known as a harlequin set. Then I inherited a 12 place set from an Aunt who was in service and was given it when she left!

Thank you @Jamboribs, I have flagged it for my next dinner party!

Today’s OMAD… T-Bone Steak, plus another piece of Beef Chuck Steak, (T-Bone was a little dry, so shared with the Pups. Probably from the reheat) 1 Scrapple, Sausage Links, Sausage Patties, Bacon and Eggs. Also had an Almond Milk and 2 Squares of Lindt’s Dark Chocolate. … Off to go shopping now

Starting my lazy pm with a virgin mojito (day 6)

Then I baked a camembert with walnuts and chilli oil. Served it with roasted chunks of meatloaf and cauliflower. Totally yummy, but I couldn’t finish it!

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #5829

Wow meatloaf and baked camembert!

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #5830

Roast chicken, gammon, cheesy cauliflower mash, a bit of broccoli and I think I nailed the gravy!!!

#5831

I did it. I bought a waffle iron. I said I wouldn’t but I found myself looking at them in Walmart. All I remember is feeling woozy, and the next thing I know I’m driving home with a waffle iron in the trunk :woman_shrugging:

Here’s my first Chaffle, with butter and syrup.

I am just watching Harry Potter (again)! And I believe you were the victim of the imperius curse!:alien:

#5833

I never got into Harry Potter. What is the imperius curse?
