Thanks, Cathy. I think mine might be Anthony’s as well, but not sure which type? I would have to check to confirm this either way. I know the Almond Flour I have is Anthony’s. … But no, the Purple doesn’t bother me at all, but I understand what you mean about it drawing someone attention. Might even look like you’re eating old bread or something. :slight_smile:

At first glance the picture reminded me of my (Dutch heritage) grandmother’s balkenbrij (i.e. “scrapple”). Whenever we’d visit when I was a kid (50+ years ago), she’d have to tell the butcher to save the parts of the hogs he would normally throw away, so she could make us several loafs to take home. :slight_smile:

Bit of a weird day food-wise! Didn’t eat until about 10am as I wasn’t hungry…went all the way through the day withouy lunch :scream: so I made up for the lack of food with this lovely concoction of mince with tomato puree and cream cheese, with two baked eggs, more cheese and tomatoes!

Sous Vide Prime Rib 134 degrees for 2 hours with a quick sear in tallow.
Crispy beef fat and some yellow & green stuff.

After work bought a rack of ribs on the way home. Slung em in the instant pot with some sugar free ketchup, Frank’s extra hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sukrin and a little pork stock. By the time I had cleaned myself up, few phone calls, a flash in the oven and sauce reduction. Some butter added to the sauce


Mmmmm. Ignored all satiety signals and scoffed the lot :yum:

Ketoversary Part 2

I ended up driving a couple hours south to see my lady friend who moved back to California from Florida, I knew it would be a compromise for social reasons. We went to a neighborhood Barn Dance and Chili cook off, I did my best!

Three Hotdogs and Chili with unknown ingredients and carb counts, I avoided the obvious carb foods and went with the flow…(living dangerously!). I also drank a couple ounces of Four Roses Bourbon.

Sunday was a typical KETO breakfast like I post often, Sausage, Eggs, Tomatoes and Skellig Cheddar. Sunday Dinner Kim’s son made a typical Americanized Taco Bell style taco/burrito build your own set up. I made a bowl and added some beans to the ground meat, cheddar cheese. avocado and tomatoes. I also drank a couple shots of Sauza Tequila with lemon wedges and pink salt. It was all worth it. No carb hangover Monday morning but temporarily up three pounds! :joy::joy::grin::cowboy_hat_face:

‘Spag’ bol with veg rather than spag.

Slow-cooked bolognese and a load of grated cheese served atop a mix of shredded cabbage, cauliflower, leeks and more cheese.

Unusual for me to get hungry between meals but I did this afternoon.

Had some homemade sauerkraut I emptied out of my big jar so I found start another batch, then added some pastrami and mustard to it.
