What Did You Keto Today? The Trilogy!

#4867

I just remembered reading that some Psyllium Husk would indeed do this, mostly in breads. But I wasn’t sure if the type I have would, until now. … But as far as I know, it doesn’t change the taste at all but it does look a little odd. But I have no problems eating Purple Burgers. (Or Barney-Burgers?)

Thanks David!

Thanks love!

I ate early today! Pulled pork from the farmers market and fried kale.

#4871

Similar to yesterday mid-day, but with some added Salami-Poppers added in. … Angus Steak, Sausage Links, Bacon, Fried Eggs and some Salami-Poppers. :yum:

KetoConnect chicken pizza crust topped with artichoke spinach dip, a little more chicken and big chunks of artichoke hearts under a blanket of mozzarella.

Corr nice!

#4874

Seems to me the first step is always to dry out the chicken?

Wouldn’t it be easier to just start with a protein powder?

('Jackie P') #4875

Just some pork scratchings and cream cheese and chilli dip.
Another shift tomorrow in a new area! I think this is described as good stress!

#4876

I prefer the texture and ingredients personally of the chicken one, but Keto Kids channel on YouTube has a video with a crust made with protein powder that my kids liked the texture and taste of a lot. Might revisit it and compare the 2 sometime :slightly_smiling_face:

Slightly difficult day as out to an open air charity concert with friends doing the catering! They were extremely thoughtful and bought stuff just for me…the downside is that is was not all things that I would normally go near. However, I ploughed into some bbq drumsticks and cheeses along with some prawns and mayo. The day was sunny, the music good and the charity made lots of money.
This will be my highest carb day in a long time so will be interesting to see any impact but I have learned two things today…the first is that I hate being out of control of my food (:joy:) but the second is just how lucky I am to have friends who are supportive of my woe, what diamonds!

('Jackie P') #4878

@Anjellica, exactly, forever is a very long time. Friends and family are very important to good health. Stick to your WOE as much as you can, but never alienate yourself from social occasions.
Even Dr Jason Fung has a piece of Birthday cake!

I’d have to work pretty hard to get happier than this (although I can certainly try at dinner time ). Bubbie’s sauerkraut, Bavarian Meats no sugar smoked kielbasa, horseradish Dijon and my very own pickled egg.

Same as last night - but with more wine in the sauce… it was even better!

I did ring the changes with pudding though - we were out of cream (in itself not a surprise round here) so I winged it and made a coconut cream variation of my lime cheesecake mousse recipe. Bit soft in the middle as I didn’t allow it quite enough time to chill!

(Diane) #4881

If you do… please let us know what you think.

#4882

I broke a 36-hour fast yesterday at dinner time with a little sauerkraut and broth and felt great this morning and dove right into my normal foods. Eggs and hot sausage for breakfast. Spicy taco pie with toppings and a mini cheesecake for lunch/dinner.

(Lazy, Dirty Keto 😝) #4883

Roasted a half pork shoulder today :yum:

(Brandy) #4884

That plate though…

(Wendy) #4885

okay not my keto meal but it is my keto Sunday dessert. Keto Vanilla icecream with finely shredded coconut mixed in. I like it!
It’s from Carries icecream scoop cookbook (except I changed the sweetener to allulose and added coconut and didn’t have real vanilla beans.

IKR? They make me happy. Especially this little guy:
