I made a bold decision today…I do not like tinned salmon! I’ve tried various brands now and they’re all quite gross in my opinion! salmon fillets only from now on!

I sometimes whizz some up with a handful of coriander leaves, a load of grated ginger and a squeeze of lemon or lime. I call it ‘dip’ but naaaaaah, I just eat it with a spoon!

Same for me. I can’t eat that much in one sitting to make OMAD sustainable. Every once in a while I can, but not often.

Chefs have been placing butter or flavored compound butter (i.e., butter w/ herbs, garlic, etc.) over steak for years. It’s a wonderfully delicious way to finish off a steak, and something that’s been around for a while. Therefore, it’s probably no big stretch to think that people dipping steak into melted butter would be a “thing.” Then, combined with some people’s meticulous desire to chase macros and “get their fat up,” voila, steak dipped in butter…
After mum’s appointment, we went for lunch at the Bent Arms. I had my favourite bacon and brie salad with avocado!

I left out all the cornstarch and used a can of drained diced tomatoes.
I just made these little pork thingies wrapped in bacon for breakfast tomorrow! I can’t wait til the morning I just tried one and they’re so yummy!
We need to give them a name! ‘pork thingies’ doesn’t do them enough justice!
Thanks! I will try this when I get home. I have some garden tomatoes in the freezer I can use and may have to thicken a bit in the pot on saute setting after the steak is cooked. This woudl be good with cauli mashed.

That looks really lovely! It’s similar to a dish in a video I watched by Jamie Oliver for a fish pie (subbing cauliflower mash for mashed potatoes). I just don’t know where to buy smoked haddock locally.
