What Did You Keto Today? The Trilogy!

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #3683

You’re so lucky! I wish this was the case for me…I can still put an alarming amount of alcohol away over an extended period of time with very little effect!

('Jackie P') #3684

Haha @beccs I never made a habit of it, or the Retsina come to that! I was a hippy, went to the Greek Island with a spare pair of knickers and a sleeping bag when I had finished my nurse training! I still remember it as a great time!
@ClareBear, mmm I lost my tolerance, but it seems to be creeping back! Made a Birthday resolution to watch it!:sunglasses:

I butterflied a boneless pork butt, bagged it in an Asian marinade for two days. Round and round on my kettle grill rotisserie with apple smoke for about 4 hours basting with refined coconut oil. Wow was it yummy and we get it again tonight. I like to take chunks and pack them into a Foodsaver bag for a quick meal when we don’t have time, just drop the bag into warm water for 20 minutes.

Do you have an English accent or a Canadian one? We have a lot of former UKer’s here in Canada, so when I am out shopping, I always hear a lot of Uk accents, and at the venue we go to for our concerts, there are two really sweet ladies at the bar. One is from England and one is from Scotland, and they are so lovely, and we have a chat every time, and I bring pics of my grand daughter to show them, hehe =).

(Susan) #3687

I bet that tastes so tender and amazing, Steve --very nice!!

(Jody) #3688

I can eat the same thing over and over and not get tired of it … for LONG periods of time. Mom says I got this form my Grandfather (her father).

(Steve) #3689

Thank you, it was a lot of fun to cook it too.
I’m also Canadian

(Susan) #3690

Very cool! I live in Ontario, we seem to have a lot of forum members from British Columbia, all in the Vancouver area. It is awesome how we have members from all over the world on here!

(Susan) #3691

Well, that actually makes it easy to feed you I guess! I am somewhat like that; however I could not eat hamburg patties every day, =). I could eat Salmon daily though, and I do eat it a lot since Keto.

(Steve) #3692

Yes people from all over the world. I’m in Muskoka Ontario for the summer months

@ClareBear

Late to the board but I am glad you mom is doing better! Also, like the new profile pic!

I have to confess, I didn’t take ANY meal pictures this weekend … I am really slipping. lol

Friday was a hodgepodge of stuff.
Saturday was OMAD at Texas Roadhouse - 16oz Prime Rib, butter, and sidekick of ribs
Sunday TMAD - (Longhorn) 1lb burgers w/ shredded prime rib and cheese. Supper was some cheese and sausage.

(Susan) #3694

That is a beautiful area, very nice and relaxing for the summer.

#3695

:flushed::heart_eyes: speechless…

(Parker the crazy crone lady) #3696

Gah, that looks so good! I miss my smoker!

#3697

I was planning OMAD today and just eat after work, even though the Wife did offer to put something together this morning. … But after getting in, it’s just been “one of those days…:expressionless: I mean, it’s just been one thing after the next, non-stop. I’ve also been feeling a headache forming nearly all morning, along with a slightly stuffy head. Man, I really hate when Monday’s feel like… well, Monday. Spam, Pecans, Almonds, Pork Rinds, Potted Meat, Smoked Vienna’s, Pepperoni, Pickles and Olives.

They are, but I’m very lazy… and now have seven girls laying regularly so lots of frying and scrambling :joy:

Bottom right is Maud’s and Maud has always struggled with eggs, but we don’t class this as a failure at all because she’s just making special eggs for Chunk and he’s very grateful

(Allie) #3699

Maybe I should correct myself as this isn’t actually true, I’m genuinely very busy and cooking is the lowest priority :joy:

(Susan) #3700

Lazy is definitely the last adjective I would ever think of as describing you Allie! =).

('Jackie P') #3701

Hot chilli beef with soured cream and grated cheddar! Mum had scrambled egg. Now we are both fasting until after her hospital appointment tomorrow! I’m thinking I’m going to fare better😉

Cheese? Egg? Cinnamon? Sounds like a lot of sweet Fathead Dough concoctions, so why wouldn’t it work for Chaffles?

Some of the Chaffles recipes I’ve seen have a lot more egg than cheese. And I think I’d use a mozzarella or Havarti cheese for a sweet recipe. I’m planning on trying a sweet one with Lily’s Chocolate Chips.

I just ordered the Dash mini-waffle maker from Amazon to try out some Chaffles. The video that convinced me to buy a ($6.99) mini-waffle iron and try it out:

But if I were making several of them, as in buns for a sandwich, I’d want to have a larger waffle maker and make them all in one shot?
