Does starring at that bowl while you’re fasting make you dizzy?
Thawed out a small leg of lamb, sliced thin and made into curry. Riced cauliflower (frozen from a bag). Not shown because I ate before remembering to take pic: sliced avocado with garlic salt, soy sauce and yogurt.
Edited to add: I didn’t dump the cauliflower rice into the curry in case the flavor was a bit off. The curry was excellent and I didn’t want to ruin it. Rice substitute was good. Got the herbed flavor.
I scanned the coconut milk can, curry paste, bamboo shoots and cauliflower rice and came up with 9.7 net carbs. I didn’t count the ghee or lamb but I think those don’t add any significant carbs.
So not bad for a delicious Thai dinner.
Got a huge pork butt for next to nothing, put it in the crockpot before work this morning, ended up with a whole Ikea mixing bowl full of pulled pork. BF has asked that it go in the regular meal rotation.
Well after cooking myself the past couple days weeding the garden, the wife asked me to fire up the grill. But I do love foods on the grill!
… So we had Hamburgers, Hotdogs, Steak, along with both Baby-Back Ribs and Country Style Ribs, Cauli-Egg Salad, Pickles, Olives and Deviled Eggs. The wife also got creative tonight and made what she called EBLT’s. BLT on a Devil.
Pretty good!
So now I am presently Fasting, unless something unforeseen happens…
Trying to get back on the low carb train after 8 months postpartum and losing then regaining all of my pregnancy weight. Did the same with my last child. Lost all my pregnancy weight within the first month and by a year had gained it back and then some. This WOE helped me lose weight but also made me very fertile so hello baby number 2! This is my initiation meal. Cream cheese and cheddar stuffed chicken breast wrapped in bacon with a broccoli side. Here’s to a rough week transitioning back but tons of good food!
I was in NY yesterday and I had to eat a NY bagel!!! I waited in line for 30 minutes for those suckers! I ate a lot of stuff I shouldn’t have but I did anyway. I didn’t go to bed until after 2am and I woke up very “tired” and dragging. I didn’t eat until 6pm which was my OMAD. Feeling a bit of heart burn or something. I’m thinking its because of the crap eating I did yesterday??

I know there are still carbs in the sauce, but it was yummy. I let it marinate over night. There was still some left in the bag, and of course after it cools there is still some left in the pan… So overall, not to bad.
