What Did You Keto Today? Part IV




Today’s meals… Lunch - Scrambled Eggs and Sausage. … Dinner - Chicken Gizzards and hearts, along with Beef Liver and Onions. Also had some Salt & Vinegar Almonds and a Grape Zevia.
Oh my, I look at the pictures and get hungry… But I looked at banana smileys and got hungry so I drank a golden milk, not very interesting pic and it will come later (or never).
These are from the past days.
I never will make a photo in my dark kitchen again, it always end up quite horrible, it was a proper little dish though! Keto bread dough, not pizza but good enough for me. It had fish below and it’s not burnt, don’t believe the photo. I loved it, my SO not so much, he prefers his normal bread dough almost-pizza. But I guess the problem was that I was lazy to make the dough thin. He has some aversion to the keto bread texture, too bouncy or how I should say.
The most massive fruit season in my garden arrived! I have radish and onions and garden cress too but it’s nothing new.
I eat carnivore since yesterday again, yesterday wasn’t interesting, maybe today will be prettier and more exciting on photos.
I was going the have the pork chop of all pork chops last night - but it was so big that I underestimated the cooking time and ended up just eating some bacon, mushrooms and lose leaf cabbage. The pork chop and picture are postponed until tonight.
It’s amazing how quickly some pickling juices work… The beetroot one is powerful. It took 3 hours but I am sure something would be visible in 3 minutes…
I can’t make breaded stuff. Or not-breaded ones as I obviously don’t use bread. Hungarians do it with many things (certain individuals with everything) and I pretty much avoided it all my life as I failed every time. It’s fine, I can’t afford all that fat anyway and I can do everything else I want (except crunchy cookies. I end up with some soft cake my SO likes and not a crunchy one I want. baking didn’t come naturally to me unlike cooking).
Next time I will cut the fish into tiny pieces and pour everything into the pan. It worked wonderfully with vegetables. And there are so many fish dishes
Tragic news - the truck is out of chaffles!
I ate the last half of one this morning with some egg salad. There will be a large batch of chaffles in the freezer next time we depart home.
We have’t had a restaurant open for a few days, so it’s been take-out or eat on the truck. We continue to persevere.
The scariest thing so far happens Friday, and it’s not even Covid-related. We have a delivery in New Orleans. One of the drivers for our company had to sit and wait in Philly, because the store he was delivering to was being looted!! I am not looking forward to this. I don’t care if it’s naughty, I’m stress eating today! Does Denny’s serve stress food?
So far the trouble makers (fringe groups from all persuasions, pay attention to the graffiti) mostly show up in the evenings. During the day the protests tend to be peaceful as intended. It’s a shame.
