@beccs I’ve just fallen head over heels with this recipe and am about to run off into the sunset with it… with the six-pack of sausages out of the fridge destined for tomorrow’s supper. DARN IT there’s no mozzarella in the house so I reckon I’ll just have to make some paneer in the morning.

Loving the look of that golden-brown topping - enjoy!

I can’t believe I’ve never thought of something like this myself - it’s so easy (and I’m lazy :joy:)

Hope everyone has had a brilliant weekend! Mine was great!
Lunch today was left over burgers and scrambled eggs

Had steak and broccoli for dinner…

And finally tucked into my Easter egg!

Corrrr! It’s a biggun!

I had chicken curry finished with butter. So good :yum:

Action replay of last night, except we had an odd number of asparagus spears left so I had to shaaaaaare…

The sloppy coronation chicken of yesterday was augmented by a load of fried-in-butter-then-chilled paneer - that large amount of sauce needed something more in it, and oh boy that fried cheese fit the bill perfectly.

And I hadn’t had a creamy pud for yonks - this was lemon cheesecake mousse, in honour of the weekend!

I Love British hour on this thread where I learn odd words like kerfuffle and yonks. Words spellcheck seems to hate! :joy::joy::cowboy_hat_face:

Haha! Here’s the challenge guys! Find a word each day to challenge our old muckers! :joy:

(Rebecca 🌸 Frankenfluffy) #1035

Yeah, I’ll risk it for a biscuit!
The challenge is ON!

Can you post the recipe for the sauce?

Dramatic light, oh well, it’s my kitchen, that’s why I usually take a photo on the sunlit terrace… Poor meat in the foreground isn’t in focus because I obviously focused on my eggs :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Another nice idea about the lunch that never happened. I will have some leftover tomorrow and I already ate stuff before this… I just can’t make a plan and follow it. But it still has much to do with my meals today.

It was a meatier day, I opened a canned fish too for dinner (fish is animal so meat to me).
My beef wasn’t almost black this time as I managed to use some hot pepper and a bit too much so I mixed some sour cream in, that rarely ruins anything… No problem, dramatic lighting happened. But it was nice. I still have very little idea what to do with beef (a tiny amount freshly unfrozen so I don’t want some lengthy process in the oven or in a pressure cooker) so I do the same thing I do with seitan to make it tasty (not like I am very experienced with that but I made some great ones after a few tries). It even has extra beef flavor along with those amazing spices so it can’t be bad. And it’s pretty good indeed.

Simple deviled eggs, with extra mustard in the end, I will experiment a lot later. We usually had tomato deviled eggs in the past but I have lots of ideas. It’s a simple one, mostly just egg yolks and mustard, some lard and spices.
Sausage slices, ham so lean that I had to add some fat, some pieces of my smoked pork ribs are way fattier than the others and I use that fat when I feel the need.

And a thin pancake for the meat (I used 2 for that role, actually but this is the prettier one). As it was still too spicy for me alone. And the last time I ate pancakes was… dunno, 2-3 days? So it was too long.

I experimented with jelly too (I almost never used gelatin before) but they weren’t pretty enough. I jellied my tea and coffee with cream. It’s always fun.

BEWARE! Highly addictive!

Asparagus from our garden, cauli mash and sous vide London Broil

Courtesy of Texas Roadhouse - a big fat rare bone-in ribeye, smothered in mushrooms & butter. Salad & broccoli may or may not make it in! I’ll be amazed if I eat even half of that steak.

(Candy Lind) #1042

That’s a MONSTAH!!!
