Saag Paneer. I made the paneer cheese out of whole milk yesterday. It’s basically ricotta that has been pressed.
And roasted radishes from my garden

Wife made Chili last night but I chose to skip, so I had a bowl of it tonight. (Plus, Chili’s always better the next day, similarly like Spaghetti, Lasagna, etc.) Since I ate early, the Wife made the Pups some treats…
Looks like perfection. I Could eat that every day! But I’d add a pickle😂
My mom used to make Tafelspitz quite frequently. Usually served with horseradish cream. (Sweet cream with horseradish). Now I’ll have to make some
Whenever we’re in Vienna, we go for a Tafelspitz lunch to Plachuta
I felt inspired by Vienna this weekend, I’m making Sacher for “52 weeks of baking”
@velvet my husband and I don’t like horseradish, so I made herb hollandaise
We went here
Plachuttas Gasthaus zur Oper
Before we went to the opera! It was less than 2 months ago but it seems like a lifetime!
Duh…it says so right on the plate I’m sorry, my brain is on Sunday mode
I feel ya, it’s like we’re in this parallel universe…
Very sweet of you Jax. Must be hard for her, she’s lucky she has you xx
Duh … Haha! I didn’t notice that and spent 5 minutes looking it up😂
Yes, it is, but she counts her blessings too! It’s just going on so long
I am really looking forwards to seeing her, and I can’t deny I am looking forwards to the drive! Especially as the doddery old … folk are in isolation😂
No pic because I was hungry and forgot but for breakfast a steak and cheese omelette cooked in browned butter
The remainder of the red Pepper and Bok Choy (still a bit of Bok Choy left), more salmon, and a mismatched mushroom gravy. The gravy just didn’t go with the salmon, so I ended up freezing it for another day with different food. Instead, I added more melted butter and lemon to the fish. It ended up good. Not pictured are my sins for the past few days - I have been snacking on Brie and soft boiled eggs during the day. Brie is just too good, and once I start snacking I end up snacking more, I can’t just have one bite. So, I thought for sure that I had been over eating and messing with my weight loss - until I weighed in at 231 today. Another pound down, and one pound away from the big 90.
The next few days will likely all be salmon, as I need to make room in my freezer for an expected shipment of shrimp. Am I complaining? Definitely not. Loving the salmon.
Sounding amazing, @velvet - nice one! And I love those unexpected moments on the scales - I’ve been eating more cheese than I normally do, too, and I stepped onto the scales this morning anticipating a gain… to discover I’m down three pounds since this time last week!
Enjoy the salmon - I love salmon! And happily you’ve reminded me that there’s some in my freezer too!
I’d just like to say that’s right up there in my top five meals. All my faves!
