What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

(Jane) #1709

Picked up a turkey breast on sale after TG so fired up my smoker this morning (after cleaning out the mouse nest I found inside of it! :rage:)

Fasting today so will have it tomorrow when I am eating again.

We often use a mix, 50-50.

And this happens, too :frowning:

Dude, go after the ones that grow in the ground. They can’t run off. Super-easy to catch.

Keto strawberry mousse, with blackberries. Racial harmony for fruit. Strawberries and blackberries, living together side by side in perfect racial harmony together in a bowl! It might be a bit stupid, like, you know what I mean, but I know fruit bowls aren’t gonna solve nothing, you know what I mean? There’s one thing that unites us, one thing that we all have in common, what is it? What is that one thing?

If we wear socks, we always end up with an odd number of them.

All of these meals looks fabulous but where is the Democracy Sausage? Surely you can get a sous vide one in your part of Australia!

Music

Ah, a sad tale.

I live in inner-city Melbourne, Australia’s second-largest city. Vastly superior to the largest city, of course, but given we are all about quality rather than quantity, that’s not an issue.

Anyway, this immediate location is super hipster-ville. And full of dirty stinking hippies, who have a lot of money.

As a result, we have a lot of vegans and other non-thinking types in the area. So much so, that one of our major political parties doesn’t even bother running a candidate in our seat.

So, yesterday, when we went off to vote, instead of going to our usual location, we decided to try a different polling booth, which was in a small church. No lines, all good.

But, as you rightly say, no sausage sizzle! No democracy sausage!

And the above reasons explain why.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #1716

Oh, Mic, I feel your pain . . . .

#1717

And the anti-democracy movement rolls on :rage: A travesty!

#1718

Not a great photo but a pretty good meal. Bit of beef oyster blade, bit of salad and the star of the show - shredded sprouts and fresh radishes sauteed in pan juices/s&p then finished with some chilli flakes and good cheese. I could have eaten just a big plate of the sprout/radish combo :yum:

Great comp.

Finally got around to celebrating Thanksgiving. Smoked turkey with creamy mushroom Marsala gravy, Keto green bean casserole, Brussels au gratin, and butternut squash with extra butter.

(Ernest) #1721

Sous vide then smoked beef chuck…

(Troy) #1722

Haha
Always curious about that place of a feeding frenzy
I guess there’s always the salad bar? Sigh
Brave you are. I understand it’s a Family Tradition

(Ernest) #1723

I’m not a fan of Turkey… so I get a capon instead. My kids just love a big bird for Thanksgiving.

(Mike W.) #1724

Unlike my young cousins I chose not to dip my bacon in the chocolate fountain :joy:

#1725

You obviously don’t use your smoker enough. Your smoker’s license should be revoked! :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

I’m picturing Elmer Fudd. “Be vewy, vewy, quiet. I’m hunting twees.”

Well, I was going to say FAT, but I think @OldDoug nailed it.

#1726

Finally found a pizzeria that serves crustless pizza! Oh, and it was good. :yum:
