Four egg omelette with spinach, bacon, mushrooms, Swiss cheese and avocado. Finished with a coffee drowned in heavy cream.
What did you Keto today? Part Deux!
Point taken, but “squirrel” is funnier.
For sure! But at least now it doesn’t look like a spelling error
I’ve been keeping my veg lighter this week, but tonight I said “Nope!” So, veg it is.
Spicy chicken & veg stirfry with a 2 egg topper.
Yum.
A juicy charred cheese kransky, and local avocado with salt and lemon juice, give your standard bacon and eggs the kick in the pants it’s been wanting.
Our house-blend “I can’t believe it’s not potato salad!” cauliflower salad, with pan-fried chicken in a tangy sweet chilli sour cream sauce.
Breakfast today, two rump steaks cooked in ghee with home made turmeric and black pepper mayo - the mayo was made with two whole eggs, salt, pepper, turmeric and with half EVOO and half ghee which seemed to work really well.
I’m not sure if that even counts as mayo anymore. Need it’s own name… Allionaise?
I made bacon-wrapped meat loaf (beef, pork, venison, pork rinds, eggs, seasonings and of course bacon) night before last. Heated some up for breakfast & put runny fried eggs on top, extra bacon to sop up the yolks.
This butter thing… Last night I’d gotten more butter to fry some pork chops. Opened the package and rather than the normal 4 sticks, it was all one block. Okay, no big deal - I unwrapped it and set it on the desk right here where I was having a high old time playing computer games, watching movies and checking in on this forum.
I start nicking into it with a knife, and it’s very compelling - one piece after another. Melts in your mouth. I guess part of it is the salt; it’s like eating one potato chip or pretzel, then again, and again…
Before I knew it, it was half gone. “Well, that’s a half pound of butter (~225 grams) you just ate, Doug. Probably got your fat for the day already.”
Last night in preparing for a fast, I eggs fried in ghee (I still don’t really understand the difference between butter and ghee, but I’m using it) and bacon, macadamia nuts, and unsweetened almond milk with hwc and coconut oil.
But, prior to that for lunch, i had lasagna made with thin sliced zucchini instead of pasta.
Do i have to buy a better camera or i just need to take photography lessons. My pictures of food never look as good as everyone elses pictures here on this forum
