What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

(Hyperbole- best thing in the universe!) #4703

That’s fantastic David! How does your son like the food so far? Change can be hard, so I hope he feels the benefits soon and can keep motivated.

Nice batch of saurcraut.

Please keep us updated on how he does! Very curious how much it will help! Ever since I saw “the magic pill” documentary i have found it fascinating how diet can play such a huge role in giving people with autism or other things like this a chance to be more vocal, more movement, more thought processes!

(Full Metal KETO AF) #4705

He already loves my cooking. He had a very limited diet about 12 years ago, like 10 foods much like the little girl in The Magic Pill except more healthy. Rice cakes, soy milk, almond butter, fried potatoes, apples…you get the idea (crunchy or sweet basically). He had a two year near catatonic phase when he wouldn’t chew food. I had to process his foods like baby food to spoon feed him for over a year. I thought, if I have to do this he’s eating what I do. He got very healthy eating meat and vegetables everyday for the first time in his life. Now he’ll eat anything I give him. He’s just off paleo into this so not a huge change. He’s low functioning so he doesn’t make his own decisions and so compliance won’t be an issue. :cowboy_hat_face: (I’m so happy today)

Excellent, David! :+1:
I sure hope it helps, too.

Nonsense!

I did have a similar experience.

This just made my day!

You better stop, or I’m gonna start crying.

#4707

How could he not? Best of luck to you!

Cheese Kransky & Egg Salad with Dijonnaise

Chicken thigh stir fry again, mouth searing, lip tinglingly hot, it was good.

(Ellen) #4710

That’s great David, here’s hoping it helps your son

(Heather Meyer) #4711

how did he like it?
My client tried Tomato soup today. He looked like he wasn’t into it and then Mom and Dad left and he ate the whole bowl!

(Allie) #4712

That’s pretty

(Allie) #4713

Keto comfort food. Took me over an hour to make these coconut flour pancakes as I’m all over the place with Chunk being sick, should’ve taken ten mins.

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #4714

I made a new mayonnaise today…a blend of coconut oil and olive oil. Drizzled it all over spinach, chicken and prosciutto! :ok_hand:

(Steaks b4 cakes! 🥩🥂) #4715

Ghee! I got through three packs of butter (one didn’t make it! :joy::speak_no_evil:)
Red star is made with salted butter…blue one is unsalted. Personally I love the salty goodness of the salted one!!!

#4716

I thought this was funny, it’s my fruit basket now. Used to be always full, now it has one squishy tomato and a bunch of tea

I made sautéed veggie ribbons with beyond meat hot Italian sausage and now all I want to eat in this world is beyond meat Italian sausage. I topped it with cheese but this picture was prettier. Trying to back down on the fat and go higher protein to continue lose weight now that I’ve adjusted.

(Cathy) #4717

Even before keto, my fruit bowl got dubbed the ‘compost bowl’ as my then, teenage kids rarely ate anything from it.

(Karen) #4718

I love the freshness of your keto meals! I think it’s the colors.

(Karen) #4719

:heart_eyes::heart_eyes:

(squirrel-kissing paper tamer) #4720

Breakfast (my hungriest meal!) is a lb of bacon dipped into spicy sour cream guacamole.

(Karen) #4721

Love savories for breakfast!!

(squirrel-kissing paper tamer) #4722

Me too and I haven’t been finishing the 3 lb bacon ends and pieces before it goes bad so this time I bought “pretty” bacon and it’s so nice and flat and good for scooping!
