What did you Keto today? Part Deux!

#4203

I’ve been meaning to ask, is there a particular brand you like?
I’m interested, but I’ve never tried it.

#4204

Twice a week here - me & my rituals

I buy a brand called Don. It’s about 3gm carbs per serve so there are probably better ones out there but it’s cheap & it’s tasty :slightly_smiling_face:

#4205

Nothing wrong with that! … The wife also used to eat it, and I think we will be picking some up tomorrow.

It was similar with Liver, and we started incorporating that back in recently as well. Love Liver and Onions. Both Chicken and Beef. … As well as Gizzards.

#4206

It would fit very well with the way you like to eat :yum:

#4207

Hey! Ok… I know you’re probably right! … But I think this is why OMAD works well for me.

#4208

I’ve built up quite the OMAD muscle myself - it’s astonishing how much food I can pack away

#4209

:+1: … Yep, and if you’re like me… you’re never left wanting after those meals.

#4210

I’ve got that satiety thing well sorted

(Karen) #4211

Are they crispy and crunchy or more chewy?

(Brandy) #4212

Baked chicken, avocado & cucumber salad with mint and feta, and almond Parmesan squash.

PS- I sub avocado oil for olive in the salad. Tastes better.

(Troy) #4213

Chicken Thighs, Mixed Veges and Kerrygold
1st Skin missing😳
…already consumed
Best part, no doubt!
Yum

#4214

Hate when that happens. :smile::yum:

#4215

Chewy if you don’t cook them long enough. Otherwise, very crispy.

(Jane) #4216

My Mom used to chop up liver and hide it in my “smashed potatoes” as I called them as a kid. My favorite food. Didn’t work. Still wouldn’t eat liver.

To this day I have never tried it again. Like @Regina with her raw eggs as a kid… I never got over my aversion to liver. And I KNOW it is healthy. But still…

(Lauren) #4217

Cooked in butter. Sour cream on top.

#4218

I think you might indeed like it… As they say, for some, their taste for some foods do indeed change with this WOE/WOL, so what’s it going to take to get you to try some?

(Jane) #4219

The best recipe EVER or way to cook it so I don’t gag?

I’ve never even attempted to cook liver so no idea what is the best way!

Texture + liver =

Yuck! I have tried it as an adult also.

#4221

 Too funny… Nothing ventured?.. Let us know if you do decide to try it. - We simply fry it up with fried Onions, or make a nice creamy sauce with HWC & butter. … But I do prefer it with my fried Onions. But hell, I can eat Fried Onions by themselves.

That’s a shame, because it is good for you. … Question? Was this Beef Liver or Chicken? I do know some folks who will only do one of the other, but I myself like both.

(The amazing autoimmune 🦄) #4222

Beef liver and venison liver, I just can’t get past the texture and crazily enough I can eat tongue etc but not liver.

I think I would do ok with chicken liver, but I am not sure.
